I wonder if they will play it again. I missed it. I did see it when it was on Broadway though, but it would be nice to watch it on PBS.

I never really understood the big deal about the song forever...then one day on the train into NYC it came on and just clicked.

Sorry, I forgot that raising one's voice equals "non-subtle."
Look at the way she engages the audience. Look at Raul and Bruce's faces watching her.

I love the subtle touch of closing the piano.
Now, mother always said that whenever you hear a strange, frightening, and potentially life-threatening ghostly chant coming from the dark woods that there's one thing that you should do: Not wake the others and go investigate it alone...

Whenever I hear that song, I am still reminded of CAMP. I just can't shake it, lol

Wanna Be A Foster (aka 'Nimrod', per Stacey) --
LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER's THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA was directed by Kirk Browning, who is basically the house director for LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER having directed 185 of their broadcasts, starting in 1976.
Lonny Price needs to give him a refresher master class.

Good for him, Brody. But the taping of PIAZZA pales in comparison to this taping of COMPANY.

Well, LITP was filmed live, so their editing was probably (just going on a whim here) to do because whoever was editing couldn't decide and make choices as to what should be on screen. Also, Company was filmed over the span of two performances so there was (just assuming again) more footage to work with.

This was filmed so gorgeously... then you have the awkward shot of his feet.

That was wonderfully filmed, but the shot of his feet threw it off. It was like The Wizard of Oz.

Stunning. What a masterpiece.
Yeah, I didn't like the shot of his feet the first time, either. A bit awkward, but I see where they were going.
