ehh, I hate to say it.. but diana kind of always annoyed me on idol.. not her personality or anything, she seems very sweet, its just she like.. mumbled or something in all her songs. She is very talented, just.. something about her turned me off
She very well could have gotten MUCH better since her idol days, and I bet she has, but.. I dont know.. I'm not THAT interested in seeing her as julia haha.
ermm.. thinking big stars (you know whats funny? not that she's a big mainstream star or anything, but if she hadn't been involved with the show aleady as HOLLY, I'm preeetty sure I would have thought Amy would have made a great Julia! haha. But, obviously, now she's holly to me- plain and simple :P)
oh, DUDE! Kat McPhee! I mean granted I want her to do elphie in wicked even more than this part, but she has a VERY strong fanbase and she'd make suuuch a great julia!
or carrie underwood!! omg, CARRIE. exept she'd have to loose the country sound to her voice for the role.. but if she could (which I'm sure she can) she'd be PERFECT! omg..
ok, ok, so I know I'm only saying american idols, but I mean kat and carrie are both EXTREMELY talented :)
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
That might be true about Matthew having a lousy attitude, but I've never noticed it. I've heard that he can be kind of quiet, but everytime I've spoken to him, he's a great guy. If I literally happen to run into him on the street, he always says hello first and engages a conversation. He's a great guy - one I'd be sad to see leave for this schmuck.

^only temporarily though, which is the good thing. But, of course, in order for it to be temporary the show NEEDS to stay open. Which is why they need to stuntcast for julia ONLY for a little while. But.. they need to stunt cast someone good.
the prooblem with stunt casting julia is, if for whatever reason it DIDNT being up sales that much, and it closed, then we'd never get to see laura do the role againn! *tear*

Carrie has a good voice for country, though when I saw that Idols tour, her voice just.... skldfsdf yeah, it grates on my nerves. Not to mention she has no stage presence whatsoever.
Anyway!
then we'd never get to see laura do the role againn! *tear*
...oh, that's.. so sad. Ahem. :x Sorry, I really ended up loving Tina a lot more than Laura, so if I never see Laura in the show again I have no problem with that, in all honesty.

I wish I lived closer to NYC so I could see a Broadway play. Especially this one, I think it would be a real hoot to see Wedding Singer as a play.
At least if the gig is 6-8 weeks, Constantine will have some time to refine the role and gain good experience. It will also be a good chance for him to learn to play well with others.
I agree with whoever said there will not be a huge surge in ticket sales. Maybe initially? If all ConFan decides to go on the same night, that would be 150 more tickets sold. Some diehards will probably go more than once and some will probably fly from all over the country.
Constantine has always said he just wants to work. And clearly, if he is being considered for this part or it is official, I assume he auditioned and someone saw something they liked in him.
Just shellac his hair so he does not fall into his every 10 seconds hair flip.
haha, I'd GLADLY think beyond american idol, its just that no one in the modern pop genre exept for some of the idols can actually SING!! hahaha, ok ok, maybe a few people, but.. not too many. And a lot of the ones who CAN sing arent really right for the part of julia I dont think.
and for the record, I really DO love tina, its just.. I have not seen Laura yet. And i NEED too. Even moreso because I regret the fact that the day I was SUPPOSED to go for my second time, i ended up not and that day was like completely full cast AND apparantly INCREDIBLE. So yeah.. I have some unresolved issues when it comes to seeing laura.. lol.

I also understand he is scheduled for some "concerts" both at a Greek festival in Texas at the end of September as well as a show in Los Angeles club on September 19. If he does get into this show, I cannot help but wonder how those prior commitments would be affected.
No, I'm pretty sure Constantine IS doing Wedding Singer (especially considering he was at the show last night), but it'll just be a very short run - probably about 4 weeks, if that, since Drew is leaving Jacques Brel at the beginning of October. I think Constantine is just stepping into Wedding Singer while Matthew is in London, and then he'll [Matthew] be back.
But don't quote me on that, since there's no PR statement or anything. That's just what I think is going on.
Tiffani Amber Thiessen can sing? At least the other two have singing experience, but Tiffani? What would they do remove all of Julia's songs? And no, Zach Attack doesn't count as singing...
So would one of you knowledgeable theater types please answer the question of the hour in ConFanLandia -- if he takes this gig for 8 weeks, is there any way in hell the production lets him take 3 or 4 days off for these aforementioned solo shows he's got lined up at the Viper Room and at a Greek festival? Or is he gonna have to cancel those other plans?
