This would be a mistake, trust me, a huge mistake.

I don't get it, why would you join BWW with no prior knowledge of Broadway shows. Unless of course you are actually interested in which case you should lurk before posting.
Seriously, I'm sure there are plenty of "Constantine to Join The Wedding Singer" threads on the obviously multiple fansites.

Found the show schedule and ticketing information - thanks again!
Hope you all have a nice evening. There are some very nice people here - quite impressed.

Yes I registered today after hearing that Constantine is being considered for this show. All I can say is that my wife and I have traveled to his solo shows and would love to see him on Broadway. He is tremendously talented. I watched the video and we think he would be perfect for this role. I do, however, understand your concerns since you are happy with the current actor. Sort of "why fix it if it ain't broke"
Interesting to see that the stalkers have found their way here. They never give up. He does have a very loyal group of fans but it just seems that the stalkers are more vocal.

Oh... I smell a bombay dreams thing going on here. He'll be in the show and it'll close after 2 weeks.

Why the hell did like 6 people join today just to post on this thread? I find that total b.s. And c'mon, it's a Broadway site, of course they're going to have tickets and showtimes.

I apologize to the members of this Broadway board for the invasion of the Constantine fans. We are very passionate about him and Broadway is something his fans are excited about.
I understand from reading here that The Wedding Singer has not been doing very well in ticket sales. I would imagine Constantine will sell a ticket or two. I am all for supporting the arts, and hope this will be a success. I have no idea why the other actor moved on and I'm sorry for those who enjoyed him in the role that C will be playing.
It sounds like a rather small part for a short period of time. No need to try to convince anyone to like Constantine. Judge for yourselves. As you can see, he is polarizing and leaves an impact on people, one way or another. He does not bore.

Well, when word got out about Constantine and The Wedding Singer and ConFan came here and saw the posts bashing him, they felt like they needed to rally together and join these boards just so they could write a bunch of posts about how wonderful Constantine is. Of course they aren't interested in lurking for a while before posting, they're more concerned about defending Constantine from the "haters" who criticize him!

Yes because all we need are posts like this:
"OMG Constantine is gonna do great in this role!... so what exactly is The Wedding Singer?"
Okay, so I just found out that Matthew Saldivar apparently told a couple of friends of mine the other day that he was going to London soon and that "good things may be happening", so it sounds like he's being let out of his contract and Constantine is stepping in.
I like that much better than his contract being bought out or whatever. But he will definitely be missed. And they could definitely find somewhere better than a grease monkey to replace him.
Maybe he will replace Stephen while he is on vacation? is that posible?
Kevin Kern is still Robbie that week Stephen is on vacation, as far as he [Kevin] is aware.
And also, I thought I might toss this out there, I was told that they could just replace someone temporarily for six weeks and still pay the actor that is being replaced the six weeks worth of pay as well. So maybe that's what's going on with this whole Matthew/Constantine thing? Matthew is leaving for six weeks, NOT being let out of his contract but temporarily replaced with Constantine, and they're both still being paid?

If he replaces Stephen, heads will roll.
If he replaces Stephen, heads will roll.
And very fast, at that. Oy.
I'm already uncomfortable enough with the knowledge that I will have to put up with him in order to see the show again. I'm thinking real hard if I am willing to put myself through that.
Part of me wants to be all "oh, don't say that!" ... but I totally feel the same way. :x Oops.

and all YOU are here for is to promote your own agenda and try to get a new crop of followers? give it a rest. This is NOT about you...but it seems like everywhere you turn, you try to make it into YOU and your story and YOUR OWN OBSESSION with Mr. Maroulis.
As for Constantine Maroulis on Broadway and the number of fans that have bombarded this forum in the last day or so, it is a public forum and it is free. If people are excited because he may (or may not) be in this show, then let them be excited. Just because people do not post here, does not mean they are NOT fans of Broadway shows. I never even knew this was a forum until I was told about it.
Constantine has every right to join this cast if an offer is made to him.

Very entertaining thread. I loved the WS. Don't underestimate the pull of CM. My 17 year old daughter has already informed me that we MUST see WS again. My daughter and I see about ten show a year and no one was more suprised than me that she gave any kind of credibility to CM. I'm hoping she comes to her senses soon, although I certainly wouldn't mind seeing WS again.

I'm just happy that by the time he actually steps in I'll be too busy with school and stuff to go see it cause I honestly don't want to see anyone but Matthew or David in that role right now. I understand the whole stunt casting thing but I thought they would have done it with Julia since the whole thing with Laura happened. At least if the London thing is true it's not like he is left without a job and nothing to do.
"As for Constantine, Rori is right. He couldn't even keep up with playing for less than an hour a night on a 15-gig little tour recently. Shot his voice. And when the voice goes, he reaches for the schtick -- you know what I'm talking about, the "look" like he's peeling your clothes off with his eyes and the wiggling the butt. I promise, Broadway has rarely, if ever, seen anything like it."
Oh, it has, babyfish. It has.

Do any of these Constantine fans who say he is great for the role and will be a great part of TWS even know what type of character Sammy is? Do you know what the role needs and how it is performed now by the talented Matthew Saldivar? Just because you think he has a great voice and played Roger doesn't mean he will be a good asset to TWS.
