DEAD OUTLAW To Open On Broadway April 27, 2025 — Page 5

The buzz from last year has faded quite a bit and it remains a largely unknown quantity to the general public- they need to be focusing on rebuilding buzz through word of mouth. It’s much easier to come back from largely discounted previews than unsold ones.

I've got one slot left for my May trip that I'm planning on filling with this. But am waiting for it to get a discount or hoping it's on TKTs at this point. Not paying the current prices

And let's not forget having to overcome the "cursed" Longacre streak.

Good news--I was looking around, and it seems that there's plenty of tickets available for $49 if you know where to look. Midweek performances on TodayTix look to be in that price range, and there's even some weekend performances with $59 tickets available:

Not really, though, because the Balcony at the Longacre is just an awful place to watch a show... I can't wait to see this again, but I'm holding off as there will be some serious discounting before this opens. And please don't buy on TodayTix vs Telecharge. It's more expensive...

Curious if anyone knows how this is possible or even okay by AEA. But Eddie Copper is in DEAD OUTLAW but at the same time will be an understudy for PIRATES. How is he rehearsing both shows simultaneously? What happens if he's called in for go-on in PIRATES? Bizarre and unheard-of situation.

The answer is...he's not in both. He's not listed as a cast member for Pirates.

Not common these days but not entirely unheard-of, as Elaine Stritch will relate:

He’s no longer on the cast list on the Roundabout website so he must have left Pirates once Dead Outlaw was confirmed for Broadway.

Cooper is listed under both shows on Playbill.

Here’s a concept. Instead of looking on IBDB or playbill, why not check the cast list on the theatre’s website. That took 2 seconds. And he’s not listed. You’re welcome.

They may not have him listed, but it's kind of amusing that the first thing you see is him at the top of the key art on the page (where it would have been easy enough to crop him out).

or how about this, maybe both IBDB and Playbill should have the correct listings.

....anyway, this ABSURD argument aside, Tyrone L. Robinson is replacing Eddie in PIRATES as David Hyde Pierce's Understudy.

Anyone else attending this Dead Outlaw Launch Party on 3/26 at Bowery Ballroom? I am hoping against hope that attendees like me are gifted an advance copy of the cast album or EP 😄

I am so excited to see this again. LOVED it off broadway.
I hope they don't change it too much and try to make it more 'broadway friendly....'
