So we go from Germans to Yiddish. Am I the only one who finds this a bit ironic?

Okay, I'm gonna take a break during this part. No offence to the theatre, but I just don't care.

I may be one of the only ones who thinks SA really deserved that lyric award. Yeah, "My Junk" is not so good, but "Left Behind" and "Bitch of Living" and "Touch Me" are absolute gems.

I agree, popular. There were ok moments....but there were just so many brilliant ones as well.

Wow, I never realized how much Jim Dale looked like George Bush... think that's the sign I need to get some sleep?
popular_elphie, I definitely agree that SA deserved the lyric award. I don't really like Bitch of Living or Touch Me that much lyric-wise, but I adore the lyrics to Totally F*CKed, Whispering and especially All that's Known.

I gotta say, I love that there's a Music for Plays Award and that Music and Lyrics are separeted.
If Best Musical goes the authors, I may just wet my pants.

I hope Jim Dale comes back to Broadway so that I can at last suppress the horrifying memories of Threepenny Opera.

Kind of odd that there's a Best Orchestrations, Best Lyrics, and then Best Music award, and that some of the Best Music nominees weren't nominated for either Lyrics or Orchestrations. Doesn't make sense.

I've seated Jim Dale at a show once. Really nice guy. Love his speaking voice.
