People, it's all my fault. I requested that they wait and release it on May 17th since my husband and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary that day. And they said, why the sh-k-heck not?
Just kidding!!! It really will be our 25th.
Jon, sorry about your birthday gift being delayed.
Here's hoping that extra week goes by swiftly!

Yes, we realize that some of you who live in NY already have this recording...but the people who aren't that fortunate do not. No need to brag. Updated On: 5/6/05 at 10:27 PM
They weren't bragging. They were just saying. Plenty of people not in NY have the CD too.
Oh, and JbaraFan... happy anniversary!
WHY? WHY? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!???!?!?!
Someone really does not want me to hear/see anything from this show!!!
TOTALLY OT, but Ga, I'm in love with your avatar!
The CD is already on sale at various places around the city, so the release date appears to still be the 10th.
I have not seen it Matt G, where is it? I need to know!
ok I apologize. Just annoying how things get pushed back (this...but Matt said its availible so maybe Amazon is wrong) and the Sondheim reissues.
Thanks Emcee. Me too ;D
Is it legal me to upload the free give-away CD to a server so people can hear the music?

but why? I wanted to buy Spamalot, Little women and DRS each other with Amazon, but now I am waiting for a week now because of DRS. Should I wait another week? That's hell.

Not unless you have secured permission from the record label and composer. Even a free recording is still subject to copyright. The copyright holder(s) can choose to give their work away, but the rest of us can't.
Sh-K-Boom was kind enough to send me an advance copy, so I've been playing DRS on Maximum Broadway Radio for a little over a week. Of course, I pay all appropriate royalties and comply with the DMCA which is what makes it all possible.
I didn't see DRS or Spamalot in the Broadwayworld Radio library listing, but I have to believe they will be there very soon. They might even be playing on the station already, and the web listing just hasn't been updated. Hearing one song at a time on the radio isn't the same as having the CD, but it might tide you over until your disc arrives.
