CurtainPullDowner, I'm not making excuses for Randolph (especially because I don't know the specific circumstances involved here,) but I do know that the technical period for GHOST was significantly longer than most shows. Because of the extensive special effects involved, they were in the theater for tech for over three weeks, where as the standard tech period for most musicals is just under two weeks.
Again, to be clear, I'm only theorizing that her voice may be burnt out from the rehearsal schedule. I don't know anything concrete to substantiate that, other than the fact that it was evident that her voice was under strain last night.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
