Curious about this two-hander as well. We've felt mixed on Joseph's work but hoping for another good one from him. Stayed away, so far, due to May Adrales' weak direction, casting and handling of MTC's Poor Yella' Rednecks & Golden Shield in the same space. Fingers crossed for better.
Saw it on Friday. The choice to name the main character “Boobs” mystifies me. You’ll be watching a serious dramatic scene and then the woman yells out “Boobs!” and it just comes across as silly and juvenile.
MTC’s broadway programming these past few seasons has only been incredible and it’s only getting better. I have not been a fan of recent off-broadway offerings though. Pretty much everything from Golden Shield to King James to Vladimir to Rednecks has been simply boring. I thought Brooklyn Laundry was actually reasonably entertaining.

Can't remember where I read it, but Rajiv was in the Peace Corps near Senegal around the time the play is set. There are some autobiographic elements, and the name 'Boubs,' is one of them. It's the nickname they gave him when he was in the Corps.

That can certainly be the case, but it's definitely hard to take a spy thriller seriously when the introductory exchange reads...
"The people around here all call me Boobs, it's a nickname."
"Boobs? You mean like *gestures to her chest* Boobs?"
"Yep. Boobs."
...and then he's called Boobs for the rest of the show.

I-....
This feels like an exchange from a Drag Race acting challenge.

I saw this Saturday night. I enjoyed it. I wasn't blown away by it, but I thought it was an engaging 80 minutes. I enjoyed both of the actors and while I wish it might have delved a little bit more into the non-spy part of Boobs' life in the Peace Corps, it knew what it wanted to do, did it and got out. Just like a spy should.
And the character's name didn't bother me at all, but I can see why it would throw some people.

Does anyone know the run time? I can't seem to find it on the website.

The post above yours says 80 minutes (I assume without intermission)
