I refuse to believe Coleen Sexton was fired. Unless someone can provide a source. These threads are always full of rumors like this.
No offense, but they generally don't put out press releases announcing someone's firing.
I remember Dee Roscioli back when she was playing "Ash's Mom"in Pokemon The Musical. God it's been a while, haha.
I saw Dee 4 times in Chicago, and she was amazing every time. Great actress, amazing singer, and really, IMO, an overall strong Elphaba, and I'm very excited she gets to star on Broadway in this role!
Great for Dee! But isn't it quiet weird that this has not been announced on playbill.com or broadway.com?
Odd.
broadway.com, just put it on their website, and so did playbill.com just scroll down their website pages. I heard Dee is so down to earth away from the stage. Ali and Nicole will be crying alot this whole week until the last show on sunday together.
By the way Laura W the standby right now is a strong Glinda.

Hope the best for Dee, but I'm wondering when they will announce Erin. Anywho, One thing I like about Dee is that even though she can be boring at times, at least she's not shredding her voice like some other elphaba's we know. Congrads.

"I was really hoping that Donna Vivino would take over."
Amen to that! The first-national tour cast is easily one of the strongest companies currently playing.

I really hope Donna goes to Broadway at some point. I saw her during the Appleton run

Are they still auditioning for a replacement for Alli? Or is Erin the one?
Saw Dee during the Chicago run of WICKED -- nothing negative, that I remember, but nothing memorable, either.
By pure chance I will be seeing her (actually when I bought the ticket I was hoping to see Nicole) on her first show 7/21. I will report back here what I think!
Will Alli Mauzey still be in as Glinda on 7/21? Loved her in CRY BABY and can't wait to see her take on this role.

You will be see Alli.
I'm going to Alli's last on August 9th and I'm quite excited to see Dee.
Is Erin Mackey still taking over as Glinda, or was that nothing more than scuttlebutt?

She's taking over.

Hmm, Dee was not my favorite Elphie by a long shot, but she is decent. Congrats to her, I guess, although I was pulling for Jenny DiNoia.
I saw Nicole a couple of weeks ago and was quite impressed. She reminded me a lot of Shoshana, whom I ADORED.

So, Nicole riffed when you saw her too? No one believed me when I say she riffed liked crazy and was a powerhouse.

I won't even touch that one. My views on her "performance" are well known.
Why does "riffing like crazy" make one an amazing Elphaba?

It doesn't necessarily.
Well those who were around to see Idina know that she barely ever riffed, and she was still a "powerhouse Elphaba."

Well, I'm not saying the riffing made her a power house. In all honestly I only included power house in my post because I knew adamgreer would read it. heh :P
I LOVED Shoshana Bean durring her standby days and early days as principle. One Megan was mid way through her contract and Shoshana started riffing, I lost taste for her Elphaba. I think Riffing is used to either 1. Make a song more rememorable (good or bad) or 2. Make up for the fact you can't do the notes justice. MPO

I didn't know I was that important.

Well, what can I say..?
It's ok. I apparently have the ability to make Broadway actors "cry for months."
