I really want to see this and it doesn't appear to be selling super fast, and I am eager to get my tickets.  However if there will be a discount code made available I will gladly wait.  I almost purchased 3 tickets at the $318 price but decided to wait as spending $1000 on theater tickets all at once made me a bit anxious.  Any information is appreciated...Thanks

It for sure isn't selling as fast as many thought, so I wouldn't be surprised if a discount code was put out. But, you can't really go wrong with $100 total for both parts. Sure, they're not amazing seats, but it's definitely good at $50 per part.

Most non-musicals offer discounts. Remember, patience is a virtue.

Especially if you're planning on getting expensive tickets, I'd wait. Otherwise, the $99 tickets will probably sell out so I'd act now.

When tickets were released in London's West End they easily sold out. Not sure why that's not the case here on Broadway. Perhaps the producers are thinking people will still buy tickets at full price but I have a feeling they'll have some sort of discount if advanced sales is not doing well.

The last revival wasn't that long ago, and we're not talking "Gypsy." It's a (brilliant) play that demands an investment of time and money.  I suspect it'll sell well, but still have some seats discounted. The target audience for this play -- who can afford it -- have seen it. Maybe twice.  You can't deny that.

Don't forget, this is Nathan Lane in a show that will likely give him his next Tony Award. While tickets are still available at this time, I wouldn't expect heavy discounts on this one. I also questioned waiting versus buying now at full price and ultimately chose to buy now because even if a discount DOES happen, it will be the worst locations in the house and for as good of a production as this is supposed to be, I want a better seat.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I will probably put this in a separate thread at some point, but if anyone is interested in 2 tickets for Wed June 13, I have Orch Row W Seats 101-102 (101 is aisle). I no longer think I will be able to use them (I was planning to be in NY in June but that's looking less likely). They were $198 each (the seats right in front of us jump to $260ish) so $440.20 for the pair with fees.

There aren't a lot of seats at that price point which is why I picked them - didn't want to be far back/up for $99 but the prices over $198 were too steep for me.

PM me if you are interested. Thanks!

In London, tickets were considerably cheaper, starting at £15 (for the first few rows!) and I know my tickets at around $120 for both parts combined were at the higher end of the pricing spectrum.  Also, it wasn't in the main theater at the National, it was at the Lyttleton, which has a capacity of less than 900.  The Neil Simon seats over 1400.

In London I paid £87 for both parts and that was at about the middle of the pricing scale. Tickets here are (not unexpectedly) running about double what they were in London, so I'm sure that's a factor. As someone else pointed out, we also had a major revival that extended multiple times 7 years ago, which many theatre fans saw (and which cost $25 a ticket for its initial run). Especially since they're only selling tickets for the two parts together, it's a big financial and time commitment to make. All of that is to say that I think they'll eventually be offering discounts, but it might still be more expensive than the $198/$99 price point that is still available now.

Hi guys, I'm bumping this thread...still looking for a discount code.  I keep checking Theatermania for one but nothing...has anyone received a mailer or anything?  I keep checking my dates that I want to attend every day and it seems like tickets are barely moving.  Thanks again!
