So are you glad the Kenney Center is losing millions in revenue and employees are losing income because you hate a name change that will at most last a couple of years. Not disagreeing that rename of the center is disgusting but is that the best way to protest? Happy New Year!!!

There's just one event booked there over the next six months. Everything he touches crumbles. Dumpster should be reimbursing the employees for every cancelled event. You know, write them a check just like he's sending out $2,000 checks from DOGE & $5,000 from tariff revenue...

You’ve been asked  for the “best way to protest” and all you’ve been able to come up with is “stand outside with signs,” which is just an ineffective and slower way to do what these cancellations are doing (and as it pertains to the artists pulling out, makes no sense). Wild that you apparently take more issue with artists pulling out than the administration’s decisions and mismanagement that causes them to do so. The KC has become an unambiguously partisan and politicized propaganda arm for the administration- it’s wholly on them if artists no longer wish to grace it with their talents. It’s not the artists’ responsibility to make sure the Center’s staff gets paid. It’s not on the artists to make sure audiences show up. It’s on the Center’s leadership, and they are unequivocally failing.

Very, very sadly and disappointingly, this is the truth of the matter. Trump is mimicking Hitler's actions of the 30s and 40s. (JD Vance has referred to Trump as "America's Hitler".)

As is typical of Trump, he's added another element of distraction that will probably re-focus America's attention away from the Kennedy Center re-branding issue, though. Looks like we're going to war with Venezuela...

I can't stand the man, but will admit he is good at "four dimensional chess" to get what he wants.  I wonder if we WANTS the Kennedy Center to fail. Yes, it will fail with his name on it, but he can use the "leftists/woke mob/democrats/anyone who doesn't worship me ruined it" talking points.   He can then have the building demolished/gut renovated and open the Trump Center for American Exceptionalism/Putting America First/whatever else the MAGA folks will love.  

   Yeah, demolishing/renovating/repurposing the Kennedy Center is probably illegal, but that's never been a deterrent to him before.

Maybe one day some of these brainwashed Americans will wake up and see what they allowed to happen.
 

The history books won’t be kind when the time comes, and they will have to live with their shame. Trump will not have the reputation he hopes for when all is said and done. 
 

So part of me says let him continue on his quest, he’s only solidifying his infamy.
