Just got home from the Sunday performance.  A couple of things I'd add to the comments thus far:  Lambert's punk infusion into his performance is revelatory.  Now, Erivo... wow.  Something I didn't expect and really couldn't have... I've had this music in my head since I was a kid, which was when the piece originally came out.  Having a woman in the role of Jesus - and particularly THIS woman with her patient expression of character and deep vulnerability - made this a very very new show.  She brought the character to life in a way I have never seen or heard it done before.  It was impossible to 'just hear what I've heard before'.  It was truly thrilling.

Lambert is incredibly underrated (which is a funny thing to say about a guy who has been fronting Queen for a decade).  He is an amazing and charismatic live vocalist.  I hope there is more theater in his future.

It may not have been the first in a stadium but I think the first concert in the round was done in Australia in 1992. An incredible production if you’ve never seen it. I wonder if this style could happen again.

I was thinking of the 2014 JC Chasez, Brandon Boyd, Johnny Rotten & Michelle Williams arena tour that was canceled at the 11th hour! (I'm not saying revive that exact production/design concept. Just revist the idea of a JCS arena tour in America.)

I put together a playlist of all the footage out there in order. I tried to pick the best/most complete versions on youtube. I think I got about 90%+ of the show. Some parts I could not find, but this should cover most of the show in order if anyone wants.

FYI YouTube has started sending out copyright takedown notices from the LA Phil. My JCS videos will be gone in a few days and presumably others will too, so if anyone wants to save anything this would be a good time to download.

Interesting that the demands are coming from the LA Phil. Does anyone know if they’ve always demanded videos involving them be taken down? ALW is clearly okay with it, unless he’s getting LA Phil do to the work for him.
