This is my first post and I for some arbitrary reason want to know people's favorite Tony Awards Performances.
Some of mine are both of the Falsettos performances (1992 and 2017), Company 2007, Guys and Dolls 2009, and Hadestown 2019. There's a lot of really good ones, though.
Best ever is Grand Hotel. The Life is also pretty awesome. The Nathan Lane revival of Guys and Dolls and the Matthew Broderick/Lillias White How to Succeed also rank high for me.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

1974 Tony Awards: “At Charlie’s Place” from OVER HERE! featuring Ann Reinking & John Mineo’s frantically insane jitterbug, plus Marilu Henner, Treat Williams, and John Travolta in the ensemble.
It’s strange because so many shows I’ve looked forward to seeing perform have not really liked up to my anticipation (they seem to either choose the wrong song or adapt it weirdly. Or just perform the same cut that they’ve performed for the last four weeks on every promo ). Some the performances that I remember really striking me ( and in cases brought me to see the show): Next to Normal ( sound issues aside when I saw it I thought who are these people and I want to hear more). Spring Awakening ( it felt taboo and yet wanted more). Of course for archival video Dreamgirls.
A few underrated ones that I wouldn't say are among the best but that I've always enjoyed: The Wedding Singer, The Civil War, Little Me (mainly because of Martin Short and his mic not working), Steel Pier, Catch Me If You Can, Romance/Romance, Memphis
I really love how everybody has a totally different opinion but also even though they're all stating their opinions as fact, they're not actually fighting over it or anything>
In terms of opening numbers, I dont think anything will beat the 2013 opener.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
