The Horse isn't dead yet.
It was dead-- it was just given CPR (aka- its own thread) when no one really responded to the "issue" before.
Yes, but I am the only one. I mean, I am sorry, but it bothers me that you would lie to an audience full of people like that- I mean, why not just say they were signed by the cast, not stating specifically that they were signed by her. And when she's caught, she just continues to lie. I mean, I am not really bothered by the whole stamping thing (even through it's for charity), I just don't like the dishonesty of it.
OK now you're said your piece. Are we done here?
Actually, people did respond to it. I just thought other people may want to know. if it's soo dead, then why are you even wasting you're time commenting >

Because you just want something to complain about LOL
If a signature stamp is considered a valid signature for a check (it is) then it is no more or less valid for a playbill. Consider that dressing rooms are small spaces by nature, and for BC/EFA the cast is signing literally hundreds of playbills and posters at a time. If sharpie indeed does make her nauseous then more power to her for using a stamp. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.
Is a Fran Drescher signature stamp valid for re-entry at any club in NYC?
Like every thread about stage doors and autographs, no one cares, but everyone stops to comment...
She can use a pen. and they don't have to be signed in a small dressing room- Callan Bergmann posted pictures of the cast signing posters in the lobby. And a Stamp is not considered an autograph- Period.

Rage, rage against the stamping of the Playbills…
Stop being a bitch, you're not good at it.
I agree I'm nowhere near as good at it as you amoni. And definitely nowhere near the ranks of uber-bitch Leah Michelle.
But I do thank you for recognizing my effort.
How is a stamp different than an autopen, which is extremely widely used?
All this fighting and Sutton Ross/Sue Storm hasn't even arrived yet to put everyone in their place!
Neither is okay- just don't sign instead of putting some worthless autopen or stamp on something and ruining it.
Man, I thought I was outraged about the 9/11 gift shop. But this....this... is truly what outrage was created for.
Is the value the signature itself, or the fact that somebody wrote it down personally? How can you even TELL?
Both- and normally it's pretty easy to tell the difference- just compare in person examples to the ones thru the Mail.

And if anyone knows how to be a bitch, it's amoni2.
darreyl, do you go by any other names? Laganja perhaps?
If you're purchasing signed merchandise for BC/EFA, you're getting something signed en masse anyway - it's busy work for the cast to do before they need to get ready. I understand stagedooring, to an extent, because of the personal interaction with the cast- the signature has more meaning because it's linked to a specific interaction.
But this? It's not personalized. It's not even personal. It's basically a product.
Man, when I clicked on this thread I was hoping it was about Fran getting a tramp stamp. This is much less amusing.

OOOOOUUUUUUTTTTTRRRRAAAAGGGEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RRRRAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look, I know the easy and "fun" thing to do is to jump on the "Who cares?/You're not paying for an autograph/You people have nothing better to talk about" bandwagon.
But the fact is that BC/EFA is offering merchandise that isn't being labeled properly. And if this were Bernadette or Patti, you all would be freaking the f*ck out, and you know it.
And I'm so glad the Headband contributed. I guess this is his definition of "observing from afar".
^ This. god forbid how they would attack if someone like Nick Adams (Who soo many seem to despise) had pulled this same thing.
