^^^ Is that what you read into "Additional casting has not yet been announced"?
Tons of remarks get turned into discussions on here, this is absolutely no different.
Whatever, Sutton.
Whatever, Russ, whatever
Wow. You rarely see diss GIFs proffered in HD.
It's so CRISP!
It's not really a diss when someone is proved wrong and they say "whatever".
I cannot wait to watch that awesome movie in about a month!

Hugh said that he would be interested in doing it as a "replacement" not as a full time member of the cast simply because it is a great part that he likes. As with anything about him, the gossip mill has just gone crazy.
A replacement IS a full time member of the cast. It simply means you weren't the original.
Cerveris is OK with it. He posted on Facebook: "It's ok. I'm pretty sure he's going to trade me Wolverine..."
Cerveris is just so great in the role, but Jackman would cause the show to become a hit. It's a tough trade. But I know it won't ever happen. Still cool that Jackman helped to give Fun Home a little boost.

I don't think there was any doubt that Hugh understood he would be a replacement. When Fun Home was announced for Broadway, The River was set. There's no way he could do both.

He could do both, theoretically. Fun Home replaces The River at Circle in the Square.
RippedMan-You need to trust the material and the fact that the story is a great one and it can succeed I think without an A-lister. It's very much an ensemble piece. I think not hiring an A-lister for this was a wise decision.
I doubt Jackman would ever replace ANYONE either.

But how would he rehearse one and then go into the other? That would be an impossible schedule.
Ben-What I was saying is that I highly doubt Jackman would ever replace-meaning step into-a role-Broadway or not-where he is not the ORIGINAL. He's just too big of a star for that.
This Bechtel suicide is messing me up. Does it leave you feeling that way after reading the book?

You're going to leave yourself with nothing left to discover if you see the show.
Bruce seemed to have a real bad last 6 months there.
"It's not really a diss when someone is proved wrong and they say "whatever"."
There is nothing to be proved wrong about. And there was literally nothing to say to you to prove otherwise.
Continue generating rumors of no substantiation if that is your wont. But that's not an evolving discussion.
Bechdel sorry. Just wow.
"Continue generating rumors of no substantiation if that is your wont. But that's not an evolving discussion."
I didn't start or suggest any rumors, you can direct that at the many other posters doing those things on this very thread. I simply commented on your judgemental question.

Is this a hint that Sydney Lucas will be involved?

That's at the Lilly Awards honoring female composers. (I'm shocked Allison Case hasn't been considered for Middle Alison.) As to your question, it's not a very well kept secret that except for Middle Alison and both boys, the only auditions held were for understudies, so that might lead one to believe the originals are coming back for the Broadway run (and in Michael Cerveris and Judy Kuhn's case it has been confirmed-one in the press article and the other in a press release for another event).
YES! Allison Case would be terrific! Maybe it will be a newbie, that'd be nice too.
