I would be creepier if he wrote her after he killed himself.

The Broadway production's artwork has been posted on their Facebook. I like it; very evocative of children's books from the late 60s/early 70s.
Fun Home's Facebook
Let's see if this works...
But does it make it seem like a children's story?
It's a tough show to make art for. It's called Fun Home and is ABOUT kids, but isn't at all for them. It's dark but that doesn't make a good logo.
It's leagues better than the Public artwork, at any rate, with its bright red that is seared into my eyes.
Ooh, I love it! I wasn't all too fond of the Public Artwork.
Think PS Classics will do a re-release of the cast album with any new cast members / changes edited in ala GREY GARDENS?
I hope they come up with a better tag line before the marketing starts.
Like, "Family isn't a word, it's a sentence."
But not that, because The Royal Tenenbaums used that.
But something along those lines. I'm not clever enough to think of something, but I bet people on this board are.

I'm doubting it, since its such a recent recording.
Yeah, but so was GREY GARDENS at the time. Of course there probably won't be such drastic modifications made to the score as with that show.
Am I evil for liking the idea of a big family buying tickets to this show based solely on the poster?
They may do what was done with Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and simply reissue the recording with the new artwork.
Probably would have more to do with if there are any major song additions/changes. If it is just some cast swapping, probably not.
LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Even if they don't, I think I'll trade the artwork for this one on the CD anyway.
Any idea when tickets will go on sale?

GREY GARDENS was re-recorded during its Broadway production because there were significant changes made to the score between its Off-Broadway and Broadway staging. The producers and creative team wants to preserve the final version of the score. Since FUN HOME will (likely) not make any major changes to its score, and since the cast will be largely the same as the already-recorded Off-Broadway cast, I don't anticipate another recording will happen.
Grey Gardens only re-recorded certain tracks. They added the new songs and I thought Erin Davie was interpolated into the music (with Kelsey Fowler). The tracks "Marry Well," "Daddy's Girl" and "Going Places" were added, but most of the tracks were the same.
I imagine that might happen here. They'll leave most of the tracks alone and re-record "Changing My Major" with the new Middle Alison, maybe re-record the finale. (They might just have the new Christian and John cut their tracks for the group numbers and add them in. That's how I understand much of the Grey Gardens recording was redone.)

I really doubt they will record a new recording considering the originally came out like 8 months ago. No need to change anything about it, and I hope they don't. The finale is flawless.
Sutton-the only reason they might is that there will be a new Middle Alison. I didn't mean to change the actual words or anything. I just meant re-recording the track with 'the original BROADWAY' cast. (They may decide to do that. They could easily do it without forcing all the other actors to return to the studio.)
Yeah that's what I meant. Largely a re-release with new artwork and any new cast or new material edited in like with GREY GARDENS.
Mr. Nowack-I suspect we're on the same page. (As I said, most of the Grey Gardens recording was the same. I think if they choose to do this for Fun Home, they might want to re-record "Come to the Fun Home" since it's hard to edit the voices in/out (adding in is one thing, taking out is harder). They may choose to for the Finale since it's a complex piece.) Overall, they won't have to do much.
Since a precedent was set by the very same record company I think it could be pretty likely.
Yep. And I think they should kind of...to include the new Middle Alison if nothing else (and the two actors who'll play Christian and John). It's the Original Broadway Cast after all. (I must say I hope they edit the tracks better here...some of the Grey Gardens ones were a little strange.)
