Two gay shows and one straight show.

Dorian Grey and Othello, to my eye, have the most blistering lowest-available-price tickets out there."
If anyone sat in thosefar side sections of the orchestra, can you please share your experience, whether the view can be really obstructed. I'm looking at those $110 seats and it's the most I can spend on this play. Debating whether I should just buy now or wait for a discount or try my luck with rush."
I've seen Tammy Faye and Ben Platt from that section and yes it's partial-view but actors were mostly center stage for both productions and so view as fine. Note that that section is quite comfortable since you sit in real standalone chairs! Yes chairs that you can pick up and move. When I watched Tammy Faye, they had cameras in both sides in that section so it's a good deal.

For those that have been there since the remodel, do you think front row of Mezz or Row N on the center aisle would be better? Was sort of surprised the first row of Mezz tickets were so (relative to CORCH seats) cheap
EDIT: Are they not selling Row AA in the Mezz? Looks like it starts at A and AA is blanked out, or maybe AA was the first row before the remodel
Definitely go front row mezz. It’s relatively low and you feel very close to the stage.
Bought on the aisle of the side orchestra because it was so reasonably priced and the slightly elevated sightlines looked good on A View from My Seat - crossing my fingers it's not too obstructed.

That second balcony MAY be marginally acceptable for a big musical, but would be terrible for a straight play or a small musical. You would feel as if you are seeing the show from Hackensack. Forget about even imagining what the faces look like from that far away.
From a sight lines perspective (not factoring in comfort), I think the worst ‘cheap seating’ spaces on Broadway are the extreme rear mezzanine seats in the Gershwin and the Broadway, and the entire second balcony of the Palace (with a shoutout to the extreme side seats in the Winter Garden).
The balcony at Studio 54 is torture.

I specifically excluded (lack of) comfort as a factor…is that also worse than most from a sight lines perspective. Haven’t been to Studio 54 that much and most times in the orchestra via TKTS.

The seats will cut off any blood circulation to your brain rendering you blind for the majority of the performance so sight lines don’t really matter.
Semantics but…compared to the others mentioned, there isn’t a second balcony at Studio 54

It doesn't exist to me either.

I think the producer of GGR, who shall go nameless, looked at what is happening with Good Night, and Good Luck, and decided to try to emulate the same, even bringing capacity to a similarly sized 1400 seats by closing the balcony."
Why should the producer go nameless? It's public record. It's Jeffrey Richards. He produces ALL of Mamet's plays. It's on IBDB.COM https://www.ibdb.com/broadway-production/glengarry-glen-ross-541094
Ah the ole “A mezzanine is a balcony but a balcony isn’t a mezzanine” game.

I sat in Balcony seat A1 (House left aisle) for "1984". Fantastic view, but It was torture. I am a bit over 5' 10". There was very little space between the seat and the front wall. Even having the aisle there didn't help. I was constantly shifting in my seat and my foot fell asleep. Maybe the seating behind the first row has more room but I know not to sit in that first row again! I suspect that if the view was that good from the front row it is probably good in the rest of most of the balcony there.

Most uncomfortable I’ve ever been at a show was the mezz at Kiss Me Kate at Studio 54. The usher took pity on me and let me sit in a folding chair next to him for the second act to my great relief

I’m not a fan of Mamet so will give this a pass. I wish them the best though!"
Seriously, who produces Mamet in this day and age? They may as well commission a new play by Diddy.
The set better be giant or this is going to feel so off.
This is crazy.
Has Mamet changed his views on sound design? Otherwise everyone in the back is going to have a pretty miserable time!

Got row J tickets for $169 each which seems like a good deal. The seat next to us is literally $395.
I am excited to see this cast on stage in a show to me that should do well to highlight their skills.
