Hoping this Guys and Dolls ends up as a Broadway transfer.

I was there tonight! The show just ended. The cast is unbelievable. Rachel Dratch was a particular standout, but everyone else was uniformly excellent. Philippa especially sounded gorgeous. The orchestrations were so lush as well, and there were some great dance sequences, especially the Havana scene and the crapshooters’ dance. The audience was very enthusiastic and some people stood up for a standing ovation after “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat.” I loved this and I was so glad I got to see it!

None that I have heard, but based on the casting game so far this season, I'm expecting a genuine dance-heavy hitter like Olivo. An ambitious production team would probably pursue DeBose as well."
I think DeBose is perfect for it. Along with current Princes, Gavin Creel as Molina and and Joshua Henry as Valentin.
Is there any possibility that the G&D production will transfer to Broadway? I assume it's a revival of the 1992 Jerry Zaks version of the show, right? The cast seems like it's near-perfection. What are the chances of it moving to New York? These out of town concerts/alternative productions often seem more perfect than carefully-produced Broadway productions that more often than not miss the mark.
Not a lot right at the Kennedy Center. I tend to eat somewhere near the Foggy Bottom/George Washington University Metro stop and then take the free Kennedy Center shuttle bus over or walk the half-mile.
CIRCA is my choice if I want something a bit nicer and sit down. Beefsteak is my go to for salads or grain bowls. And there is a Whole Foods right there if you want something more grab and go.

Circa +++ and last time down there we stayed at The Watergate and ate at Kingbird (fine dining) in the hotel- excellent. We plan on going down for Sunset & KOTSW staying at the Watergate again as it's next door quick walk to the Kennedy Ctr. We got a great rate for only $300 w/ breakfast. Tazza Cafe is good, quick and reasonable steps away.

Wish it was the Zaks' version, that was definitive. The orchestrations seem very close. The show sadly is not.

The physical production is pretty impressive based on those photos. Looks better than some of the crappy designs we've seen on Broadway recently (i.e. Funny Girl's set).

A handful of orchestra seats have popped up for most of the remaining dates, typically $249 or $299. StubHub has a few as well, generally priced better.
Additional casting has been announced joining Tony Award winner Stephanie J. Block in the Broadway Center Stage production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard. Broadway powerhouse Stephanie J. Block (The Cher Show, Into the Woods) stars as former silent-screen goddess Norma Desmond. She is joined by Tony Award nominee Derek Klena (Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge! The Musical) as Joe Gillis, Auli'i Cravalho (Moana, Rise, The Little Mermaid Live!) as Betty Schaefer, and internationally-renowned Grammy Award-winning baritone Nathan Gunn as Max von Mayerling. Based on Billy Wilder's Academy Award-winning film, Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterpiece, with book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton, weaves a compelling tale of romance, obsession, and faded glory in 1950s Hollywood. This new production from the Kennedy Center's critically acclaimed Broadway Center Stage series will be directed by Sammi Cannold (Evita at New York City Center, Ragtime on Ellis Island), with choreography by Emily Maltby (For You, Paige: A TikTok Musical; Evita at New York City Center) and music direction by Ben Cohn (Dear Evan Hansen). Tyrone L. Robinson (the Kennedy Center's Show Way) will be the Associate Director. The lush score will be performed onstage by the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra. Additional casting and design team members will be announced at a later date.
Guys…I was NOT expecting these reactions, and it makes me feel much less alone! To be transparent, I was REALLY disappointed reading this announcement and I made the ‘nice’ comment because I know the teens love him and often go after people on social media who don’t agree.
I’m such a boring choice, but not boring enough to miss SJB in this part.

Can we not just keep getting a tired Aaron Tveit type? Like
sure he’s pretty and has a solid voice but his acting / choices are just soooo boring.
BUT it sounds like he will be leaving Moulin Rouge for this...so I wonder who will replace him there? When I saw MR again this past summer it was a bit of a shock at how lousy his acting was compared to Tveit's.
