I'm a bit confused on how their subscription works.I only see a handful of shows listed in the subscription. Will I unlock the ability to buy tickets to this if I get a season subscription?
They are more than a concert, but are not fully staged. The actors do sometimes have scripts with them (usually disguised) since rehearsal time is fairly limited.
We had a partial subscription to the Kennedy Center a few years ago where we got to pick and choose the shows we wanted to see from the whole series. They may have that as an option down the line after they get the initial push from these full subscriptions. Tickets to single events go on sale to members before they open them to the public as well.
Stephanie just posted a STUNNING video (mostly the theatre) of her singing As I We Never Said Goodbye - from an upcoming concert she is doing. She sounds amazing!

She sounds great. I’ll be honest though, it’s always such a letdown (for me) when whoever is playing Norma doesn’t hold the note on the word “home”. But I can’t wait to see her in this. Anyone know when tickets go on sale?

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
I hope we don't get a lot of forced affectations/flourishes in Norma's big numbers, something some who have played the role have seem compelled to add. Just sing the song and let the lyrics and music work their magic. It's a fine line between the natural melodrama of the character and over-the-top caricature.
I still can't figure out how to get this Broadway Center Stage subscription. I'd be interested in watching all three shows in the series and not much else from their 22-23 season. Their lone theater package only includes 6-7 (mostly) touring shows I don't want to watch. Going to call the box office this morning and see if they can tell me what's up.

I don't believe you can subscribe to just the Broadway Center Stage productions; rather you can add them to the KC theater subscription package and be guaranteed seats.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has just announced initial casting for its Broadway Center Stage production of Guys and Dolls. Helmed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful, 50 Years of Broadway at the Kennedy Center, Broadway Center Stage: The Music Man), the all-star cast will be led by Tony Award® winner James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin, Hamilton, 50 Years of Broadway at the Kennedy Center) as Nathan Detroit, Tony Award® winner Jessie Mueller (The Minutes, Waitress, Broadway Center Stage: The Music Man) as Miss Adelaide, Steven Pasquale (The Bridges of Madison County, Junk) as Sky Masterson, and Tony Award® nominee and Grammy Award® winner Phillipa Soo (Into the Woods, Hamilton) as Sarah Brown. Guys and Dolls plays the Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theater, October 7 - 16, 2022. Tickets are currently available to Kennedy Center Members and will go on sale to the public on Thursday, August 4 via the Kennedy Center website or by calling 202-467-4600.
Iglehart is definitely an interesting choice for Nathan as he seems more likely a Nicely-Nicely Johnson to me. It’s really nice that a real-life married couple like Steven & Phillipa are gonna be playing a couple together.
I hate that I feel like JMI has been sleepwalking his time on stage since the day after he won the Tony for Aladdin. I want to be more excited but the shoes of Nathan Lane are still nowhere close to being filled for me.
