I was never put into a waiting room, but it took from 10am-10:47am for me constantly selecting tickets and then the site crashing when I'd try to check out. I was on hold on the phone most of that time too. Finally was able to check out and grabbed "cheap" seats for Sat night.
I tried for 30 minutes (no queue), and the system kept crashing whenever I selected a seat. I ended up taking the metro to the box office. They weren't able to print out my tickets because they were having system issues. At least I was able to secure a couple of tickets.
FYI - there is now a 10% fee for tickets purchased at the box office.
Hey Dottie!
Did your colleagues enjoy the cake even though your cat decided to sit on it? ~GuyfromGermany
I went back at it just now -- the site is now working fine and there are plenty of tickets left. Just not the ones I had in my cart two hours ago! Oh well
Peter Marks on FB today mentioned that he knows who's playing Nicely-Nicely but isn't allowed to announce it yet. Anyone else interested in seeing Chris Fitzgerald play the role?
When do Sunset tickets go on sale? I'm not a member or anything, but I will give my first born and someone's to see Block sing/act one of my favorite shows.

I was able to get what appeared to be about the last Guys and Dolls ticket for the final Saturday two shows, ex-companion seats or what seems to be recently released extreme side obstructed view seats. Not great but I’ll take it.
also booked tickets for Papermill’s Sound of Music and Rent, neither of which I’ve seen on stage, so it was an exciting (and expensive) day!

None that I have heard, but based on the casting game so far this season, I'm expecting a genuine dance-heavy hitter like Olivo. An ambitious production team would probably pursue DeBose as well.

If anyone is interested, they do have a build-your-own subscription which can include Sunset and Spider Woman. The catch is you have to buy 3 shows and Guys & Dolls is not on the list.
The BCC shows at the Kennedy Center tend to cast big names in the lead roles and fill in the rest with local talent. They also have a short rehearsal window as the show is only for a weekend and “semi-staged” allowing for the cast to carry scripts.
Complete casting has been announced for the Kennedy Center's Broadway Center Stage production of Guys and Dolls, which begins rehearsals today. Joining the highly anticipated new production helmed by Marc Bruni, are three-time Tony Award® nominee Kevin Chamberlin (Seussical, The Addams Family) as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, Tony Award® nominee Rachel Dratch(POTUS, Saturday Night Live) as Big Jule, Jacqueline Antaramian (The Visitor, Dr. Zhivago) as General Cartwright, Fred Applegate (The Producers, The Ferryman) as Arvide Abernathy, Eden Marryshow (Archive 81, Ink) as Lt. Brannigan, Matthew Saldivar (Bernhardt/Hamlet, Junk) as Benny Southstreet, Jimmy Smagula(Broadway Center Stage: The Music Man, Billy Elliot) as Harry the Horse, and Akron Watson (Empire, The Play that Goes Wrong) as Rusty Charlie/Hot Box MC.
That last Guys & Dolls revival didn't count, so can we get this to transfer by next Summer?
