They'd be well cast for this. Interesting to see where this is scheduled and who is in this tour. Anyone know about the production company?

How fun! Would love for it to come to LA
Surprised they’d do a cheap non-union tour! But fun idea!
I’ll bet this is the new small cast version with five actors and a singing, sometimes dancing band. It played Pittsburgh a few years ago and was hysterical.
who's playing what role?

They're probably getting paid the same as they would in an AEA tour, without the benefits. A shady but not unprecedented move (especially if they were previously AEA members and dropped out).

I believe they're playing Melpomene/Medusa and Calliope/Aphrodite, the tracks Mary Testa and Jackie Hoffman played. Though I'm not sure which is playing which.
This is absolutely brilliant. The tour is coming to Buffalo and I can’t wait to see it. I presume Ginger Minj is playing the Testa role.
Weren't those roles also originally played by drag queens? :)
This is an AMAZING idea!!!...I LOVED this show when it played briefly in Chicago!...This show should have done a lot better than it did, and deserves to be seen by everyone!...
Is there a tour list? I saw Paul mentioned on Live at Five that it’s coming to Syracuse but I can’t find anything about it.

This show was never a huge cast show to begin with... Was there really a need to whittle it down?!?! Weird!
The small version is specifically designed for small spaces and cabaret theatres. Pittsburgh CLO has a special initiative for developing small scale musicals and premiering the cabaret-sized (which they define as five people or less) editions of larger musicals. They premiered First Date in a cabaret edition as well.
They'll probably be treated better and have a less grueling schedule than Hater's Roast or those other drag tours that hit a new state nearly every night.
It’s been confirmed on Facebook that this is indeed the five-hand version, which means they’re also using a Clio, a Sonny and an Everyone Else.
This version doesn't separate out Danny? That seems odd.
Danny, Clio, the two Muses and the Everyone Else guy. That was a typo of mine.
Now I don't mind a reduced cast, but I hope to god that they do not take the costume & production design from Pittsburgh CLO. What an eye sore.

Wait... so the person playing SONNY also plays everyone else?!
I think I got that backwards. Sonny plays a few roles but Danny plays the vast majority of cameos.
Looks like the tour has been canceled.

There's nothing on social media, which is odd, but the announcement is on the official website.
I wonder if this is fully canceled, or if it's just the early dates. The dates coming up this and next month are listed as canceled on venue pages, but I checked Philly in March, and you can still buy tickets to that date.

Maybe they are cutting some of the one night stops and cities with sluggish sales. They stop for a week in Buffalo and most days are sold out. I can’t see them cancelling.
The main link of the website says the whole tour has been put on hold. And I looked at the local stop in Red Bank, NJ and it was cancelled
