I think fbueller meant that someone put on a stage production of Grease 2 for some ungodly reason and has released a cast-recording, so Haterobics is correct when correcting him.

On Vanessa Hudgens' and Keke Palmer's Snapchat, they showed video snippets of music rehearsal of the guys singing Greased Lightning and the intro of the Summer Nights chorus. Julianne sounded pretty good (and surprisingly different) than what I've heard from her. Can't wait for next month! Hopefully the album is released before the broadcast.

the original Grease on broadway was my first musical. I loved it so much that I went several times, taking a relative or friend each time. nI loved the show so much and wanted to share it! The tickets were about $10 (or maybe $20?)

I don't know when in the long run (1972-80) you saw GREASE, Jane2, but I recall ANNIE (which opened in 1977) costing $16.50 for a center orchestra seat. FWIW, I too saw GREASE many times. It was THE place to catch young Broadway talent in the 1970s (well, at least until A CHORUS LINE opened).
For anyone interested, this geriatric version of Grease Live will be available for purchase on dvd March 31st.
(Which seems like an unusually long time after the broadcast - I would have thought they would have released it within a week or two like NBC to capitalize on awareness)
I am excited to see this on tv in January on Fox. I saw the show in NYC when it was there in 2008 I believe. I would like to see more shows come to tv in 2016 I sure that they would be a big hit...
Here's the gang at 'The Frosty Palace' or 'The Burger Palace'...or whatever they plan on calling it for this particular version. I'm guessing 'The Frosty Palace' since the guys will be called 'The T-Birds' and not 'The Burger Palace Boys'.
I wasn't a fan of Julianne's casting at first, but I'm getting more and more happy each day. And look at Queen Carly Rae. She's the perfect Frenchy. I love this cast.
They/them.
