Well that's the H show that I heard Roundabout was doing for this holiday. I guess I was off by a year.
This sounds exciting. I love Irving Berlin music.

The clips from the Muny production were awful, so hopefully they've put some work into it.

Holiday Inn is one of those old movie musicals that has escaped me. Can anyone explain what makes this show "new"? Have songs been added? Have they changed the book/script from the movie or were there only minimal changes to make it a stage adaptation?

I saw this at Goodspeed. Hope Hayley Podschun and Patti Murin are in this one.
New because it hasn't been stage before?
Zzzzzzz. And I like the film.

It won't be the same for Roxy if they don't do the blackface and the PC police ruin his fun.
I'm getting kind of tired of "new" Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and Gershwin musicals that have new books and the same 10 songs as the last compilation show. Hopefully the song stack in this is different than those used in White Christmas otherwise, why?

otherwise, why?
Because someone else owns the rights to Holiday Inn and wants that money.
I honestly think Holiday Inn is by far the superior movie, minus the "Abraham" bit.

I saw it at The Muny. It was really entertaining, and the book was charming. I hope they keep Noah Racey. His tapping was incredible.
With the exception of the song White Christmas, the songs in the film of Holiday Inn are completely different than the songs in the film White Christmas.
From the film Holiday Inn:
I'll Capture Your Heart Singing
Lazy
You're Easy to Dance With
White Christmas
Happy Holidays
Let's Start the New Year Right
Abraham
Be Careful, It's My Heart
I Can't Tell a Lie
Easter Parade
Song of Freedom
Let's Say It with Firecrackers
I've Got Plenty to Be Thankful For
I saw Holiday Inn at Goodspeed last December and absolutely loved it. I am very happy to hear that it's moving to Broadway because I'd love to see it again. I also enjoyed Holiday Inn much more than White Christmas which I also saw at Goodspeed a few years ago.
The Holiday Inn stage adaptation follows the film's storyline and adds Irving Berlin songs from other movies notably White Christmas, Easter Parade and There's No Business Like Show Business.
Here are some of the classic songs that I heard at Goodspeed:
Stepping Out with my Baby
Blue Skies
Heat Wave
What'll I Do?
Shaking the Blues Away
White Christmas
Holiday Inn / Happy Holiday
Your'e Easy to Dance With
Be Careful, It's My Heart
Easter Parade
Here's the Goodspeed clip:
I just love the tap dancing while jumping rope bit. It's just a fun feel-good show.

Preach it
Sounds super boring and with Roundabout at the helm, the physical production will probably be on the cheap. Pass.
It doesn't sound terrible, with this cast. Hopefully they'll work on that book though if this is going to see any box office success.
And RippedMan - Roundabout had one of the most beautiful productions with She Loves Me this season. The announcement doesn't mention a set designer, but Denis Jones as it's choreographer, it can't be too bad.
And the set for Therese Raquin was amazing too. Lots of money spent on that production.

The announcement mentioned Anna Louizos.
