I ordered tickets using the app, and I have a confirmation number. When I ask for "order details" it says it can't complete the request to see the order. Is anyone else experiencing this? I got tickets to a matinee in April.
So, a report from the front: My friend managed to buy four tickets for May, but he said it was tough to get regular priced tickets. Almost the entire orchestra is $849 now. The rear side orchestra is $199, and that's what he wanted. The first two batches of tickets he selected (for a Saturday night) were yanked out of his cart. Then he tried for a Friday night, and got those.

"I think that happened to me during the last presale. Order details weren't immediately available because of the site traffic.

Yes, that happened to me too. But I eventually got Row C Center Mezz for $199 and grabbed them for a different date (but still Saturday matinee). Row A overhangs Row J so this should be a great seat.
From the looks of the maps, just about everybody is skipping the orchestra and buying up mezzanine and balcony seats. Even the scalpers will probably pass on the orchestra seats, because they know after the OBC leaves nobody is going to pay even face value on an $849 ticket. They'll just go to see one of the touring companies instead.

ASSUMING that actually happens you have come to now understand the importance of free market capitalism and supply & demand economics. if these tickets do not sell the producers will respond by lowering the price. that is how it should work. that is the best way to run an enterprise.

Mine did that for a bit and got email confirmation shortly after. You should be fine.

Well, let's put it this way: when even the millionaires don't buy your tickets because they're vastly overpriced, you've got a problem.
And I love how some people on this board act like if you complain about outrageous ticket prices, you somehow don't understand how economics work or something. I understand perfectly fine, thanks. I still get angry about arrogance and greed when I see it.

Went back for a quick look to assess the situation after getting my order in. These are just some random observations from a couple of dates so consider accordingly. But it looks like the orchestra is almost entirely premium up to row Q - except the handful of partial view seats that are $199. Behind Q does not seem to be on sale yet so don't know the pricing. It looked like most the front mezz was available when I first logged on but is now largely snapped up. The rear mezz seems to be largely available - back rows still almost completely open for midweek shows.
So the "good" news is - if you are willing to spend the $849 there should be good seats left in the general sale.
My friend got two tickets for late March, row Q. It took an intense 30 minutes. Apparently every time he would pick seats verification would take forever and then it will say the seats were no longer available. To be expected.
Another piece of good news is that the rear side orchestra in the section that's stadium seating, which is roughly Rows K or L to maybe S, are quite good. I sat in the side Row Q and loved the view. I was surprised how I didn't feel I was on the side at all.
I hope they held a lot back. I just checked 8-10 Tuesday and Thursday nights in February and May, and there's nothing available in the front mezz and very little in the rear mezz. I understand raising the prices so more of the money goes to the show and less to the scalpers, but limiting the pre-sale to the wealthy is just awful if they didn't hold a significant number of seats back for the public sale. Rich people aren't the ones having a hard time getting tickets to this show.

Very happy now about my Row O side tickets at $210 for November - they are now $849! Incredible.
If row R and back are only $210 as before, I give them about 5 minutes before they are snapped up by the bots.

It doesn't look like the rear orchestra seats were released for presale. I snapped a picture right after the tickets went live, and most of the rear orchestra were not released.
That said, checking the maps, just about all the mezzanine and balcony seats are sold. Some of the orchestra seats were bought by rich idiots. If RRT lowers the price, I wonder if the buyers of the $849 tickets will raise a stink?
$849 before announcement of casting changes completely explains the timing of the presale. I hope they take some of that money and pay as many as they can good money to stay.
