I read a really interesting interview Helene York did for Grubstreet. It basically just goes over everything she eats in a week (which she manages to describe hysterically), but in it she mentioned she auditioned for Shucked. Does anyone have any idea what role? I only know the cast recording but I'm assuming it's Caroline Innerbichler role? Is there anyone else she could have realistically played? I so want her back on Broadway.
I've linked the full story below, I would highly recommend if you are a foodie.

Unless someone here was actually in that audition room-how would anyone know the answer to this? I understand curiosity but we're not entitled to know everyone who auditioned for a role, turned down a role, etc. AGAIN I understand curiosity. Just saying.

Helene Yorke is such a great comedic actress. Her performance in Bullets Over Broadway will always be one to the top funniest performances I have ever seen on Broadway.

GMAFB -- it was a completely reasonable question -- especially since the actor raised it themselves in an interview. No one is asking to see the list of who read for which parts.

I'm very aware we aren't entitled, but she freely mentioned it in an interview so I was just curious! And sometimes, people DO have knowledge of these kinds of things. God I forget what sticks people have up their ass on these boards.

My comment was perfectly reasonable and absolutely no reason to say "GMAFB" or that I have a "stick up [my] ass". Get over yourselves.
I forgot y'all enjoy saying rude things to people whenever you get the chance. Have fun!! I'll be over here being a GOOD person.

Could have been the Maizy role, a narrator role, or an earlier iteration of the Newell role. Shows take a long time to get developed and roles evolve over time…I’m assuming this audition occurred several years ago.

True on timing! Idk why I just assumed it was more recently but that would make more sense. Would love to hear her voice on any of those songs.

Who’s to say someone who was in that audition room isn’t on this message board!

She’s tied to the HBO Max series THE OTHER TWO, now on its 3rd Season, so it’s unlikely she auditioned for the Broadway incarnation of SHUCKED.

it filmed for like 6 weeks in the fall, she would have been fine.

I would love to see her take over for Annaleigh as Mrs Lovett.

This would be Heaven. She would also be excellent as Pattie in Kimberly Akimbo.

I’d be great replacing Ashford! I think she’s insanely talented and hope her star keeps rising!

Ryah Nixon played Lulu back when Shucked was Moonshine at Dallas Theater Center. Seems like at one time that role would have been a good fit for Heléne, if not the lead role (who was originally named Misty iirc).

i dont know Shucked history here but she says point blank in the article that she auditioned in Feb 2020, which would help decipher what roles made sense for her when she did.
