Has anyone heard any information on what theater High Fidelity is going to open at when it makes it to Broadway? The wait is killing me.
It hasn't been announced according to broadway.com

It's weird that Legally Blonde's has been announced and it doesn't open for a year.
I don't think they really have many options. Maybe they're waiting for something to close?
I think they are waiting for the O'Neill.

I thought it was cancelled or "on hold" ... ?

High Fidelity on hold? The cast will be surprised to hear that. They open in Boston on Sept. 26.

Hm....I guess the O'Neil will probably be open by December.

It's had a good run, it made back it's investment. I think when Company opens, it will be time to close Sweeney.
I think that we might see The Producers close soon. Aside from holidays and some weekends, it doesn't do very well. Maybe the show could play the St. James?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but when does High Fidelity open on Broadway?

I'm not sure the exact date but it's in early December. I doubt the Producers would close as soon as December, though I do see it closing in the next year or so.
Who has the Broadhurst after History Boys? Will the Lt. of Inishmore close soon? And who has the Booth after Faith Healer?
Les Mis gets the Broadhurst.

Lt. of Inishimore will indeed close before December, it will be interesting to see if Fidelity gets a theater before it's December time slot. It maybe pushed back, or they might take the risk and grab whatever's open. I feel bad for this show, I think it will be overshadowed during this season with Les Miz, Chorus Line, Pirate Queen, and Mary Poppins.
The Booth has the limited run of Butley with Nathan Lane, and then The Year of Magical Thinking, with Vanessa Redgrave.
I think the Lyceum is definitely too small for a musical.

Longacre: 1005
I think the Longarce is their best bet. It's on the smaller side, but this show - I don't think - isn't going to be very large. It seems like a medium size show like Dirty Rotten. And it's available. The Eugene O'Neil may not be if business picks back up in the fall.
I think the show should go into the Cort. I agree with RentBoy, this doesn't seem like a very large show, and the Cort holds 1102, I believe.
I really like the Cort. It's a lovely theatre. But it's usually not a first choice house because it is located east of Seventh Avenue, has no visibility, and has a second balcony. All of those factors make it tough to book. As I mentioned on another thread, those 1,000-1,100 playhouses with second balconies (Cort, Longacre, Belasco and Lyceum) are always the last to be booked.

rumor has it, it will be going into one of the larger theaters, possibly the Imperial.
Imperial?
I thought DRS is still selling well?It plans London next year.
I heard Evita may replace The Wedding Singer or The Producers. Both those theatre could become available in 6-9 months.
Evita was mentioned as a possibility for the Neil Simon (where Hairspray is playing) in 2007, not for the St. James (The Producers) or the Al Hirschfeld (The Wedding Singer).
