"Foster said to Variety that he was surprised but heartened by how quickly his group has become popular. “Maybe if there’s enough people,” he said, “we can do something about it as a theater community.” "
good gravy!!! it would be embarrassing to be a part of you and your wife's verson of a theatre, woops, theater community. again...didn't jenn complain about Denzel using the term Tony Committee? they need to confer.
Cap'N: there may be opinion here and some ribbing and yes even bashing, but this is a forum where people should know what to expect. FB has a much wider audience. It is also lead by these two in "the community" and it is an embarrassment to Broadway IMO.
On Nov. 15, 2006, her Akron, Ohio production of "Urinetown" was accused of plagiarizing the original Broadway production in which she and her husband, Hunter Foster, co-starred. A lawsuit was filed by the Ohio Theatre and Ms. Cody for defamation and slander. It was settled out of court.
^ funny, i was going to post that last night after reading it. thanks for doing so.
The more and more I read about them, the more I roll my eyes. They really think they should be the toast of the town or broadway super couple. well, maybe not...but it seemed that way. his answer was not so great in the article either.
Yes, Piper, it is off Jen's IMDB page. I wonder if she thought posting that for all to see was a good idea too? Isn't IMDB supposed to make producers hire you? Who would want to risk hiring her with that information and the current brouhaha?
IMDb.com isn't Facebook. These pages aren't set up by the actors themselves. Anyone (pending approval from the site) can contribute information to a film or actors page.
In other words, Jen had no say about putting that on IMDB.com. She can't dispute it as libel when it's a fact that it happened.

Nope. Only if it's false information. She would have to "request" that IMDb.com take the information down, stating the reason why. This is a public information site, not a private "personal page" site.

I wouldnt mind as much if he were not in a Jukebox Musical, those shows take work away from people who work new scores, original books etc
No, they don't. Anyone can still write books and scores to their heart's content. Shows with original books and scores are still being written and produced. And winning Tonys, apparently. Jukebox and bio/catalog musicals (and revues, which nobody seems to bitch about) actually give people work, not take it away.

LOL Not necessarily. If she really wanted to pursue a deletion, they might cave and take it down. But since the information is fact and easy to back up with links and outside evidence, her chances wouldn't be good.
Hey, if the actors controlled their own pages, I'll bet nobody's birth year would be listed!
IMDb.com is a little bit "wiki" in that it allows anyone/everyone to contribute information. But all submitted information and all submitters are subject to approval by the IMDb.com staff, and not all of it makes the cut. They want everything verified and backed up. The site is definitely used by industry folk, and the "pro" version generates nice revenue, since it's so comprehensive and well executed. The foundation of the site is for public information.

"Do you think they would approve an entry about this Facebook group? I could write a doozy!AND ALL TRUE AND VERIFIABLE!"
I couldn't say, Sue. But you could definitely post a topic on her page under the "Message Boards" which is open for discussion. All you have to do is sign up to post there.

As a little side note, I tried to search people's names that were in the group via the little tap thing on the left, but it didn't work. Has anyone else had trouble? I just wanted to do it to see what people whom I liked were part of the group. Anyway...
