MB -- trust me -- I understand and am a VERY respectful audience member -- it was one of thoese moments (OK, more than once) where you know you can't and shouldn't laugh, but the more you contain it, the worse it gets -- you just are waiting for the end of a song or something to "let it out".....the behavior of the people in font of us (or my party to be frank) was not distracting from the material presented on stage.

I love you, Poppy. Best nickname ever (next to Baby Espinosa).
From Broadway Abridged, my favorite moment:
David Turner's Mom: (Cries for her son's soul)
Poor, Poor David Turner. Although can I admit I'm secretly hoping for a Featured Actor nom for him at the Tony's? He deserves it if for nothing else than absolutely redeeming the entire show with his once-improv'd spiel that has somehow made its way into being the ending.
I, too, am as respectful as they come, in terms of an audience member. But if I didn't let out the laughs when I did, they would have burst forth louder at other moments. I just wish that Mr. Brooks had shown a little more respect for crafting a piece for the theatre, than what I witness last night.
I did not think it was that bad. David Turner was very good in it and he seemed to hold up the show. Every time he came on stage, people started laughing. Those costumes!!!!!!!!

of breaths we take, but by moments
that take our breath away."
"Life isn't about how to survive the storm,
but how to dance in the rain."
I really think poor Chiara Navarra is the biggest victim of the Joe Brooks conceit. I think she could be a pretty good actor, but she appears to have never been given any direction other than "stand over there" or "walk downstage" and she's not experienced enough to compensate. Someone really needs to give her something to do with her hands though.
Went back for the third time last night. Still hilarious. Still horrible. I seriously think I have an addiction to In My Life...it had better close soon so I won't be able to go see it again.
One major change that I was very upset about. Towards the end when Vera forgave Nick for killing her in the car crash, the two of them went off together to get a grape slurpee. That was cut! Instead, she forgave him and then they went off on their separate ways. I whispered over to my friend "oh my god, they cut the grape slurpee!" Oh well...at least we still have skeletons, pirates and a cat named Yoda.
Why was this bumped in honour of First Date? The show opened to mixed reviews and got some very positive with the only damning review been The Times (who also thought Chuck that ran for 5 seasons was a short lived TV show). This show is clearly not even in the same category as In My Life
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
I was going to start a new thread, but this one was bumped, so might as well post here: I've become a bit obsessed with finding out more about this show. This thread helped me quite a bit, but does anyone know of a way I can listen to the recording, or watch it, or something???
