"Oh, goodness. That's just a little ridiculous. I think when I go see Threepenny, I'll go paint my nipples and dye my hair black, and then try and stalk Alan Cumming at the stage door."
UGH! Now what will I do?
Maybe I will bring some reefer and stalk Ana.
I know, what is this, Rocky Horror?

I still see nothing wrong with it. She's an actor. She has fans. If she is successful in her craft, she'll be able to look past it all and think "wow, my show's are all sold out. Doesn't that feel great!?"
How can you folks judge them?

It has got to be the most uncomfortable thing.
Not to mention, the red tracksuit is a symbol that would remind her of the fact that she injured herself and DIDN'T get to perform her last show. I know it is all in good fun(sort of...) but it's pretty damn callous of all of these "Eye-dina fangirls" to not realize how it might not be the funniest thing to her.
Yankeefan - it is one thing if Idina played football and her fans were in Giants Stadium wearing Menzel 33 jerseys.
It's another thing to go into a theatre - the Public, nonetheless - and wear that crap.

BSoBW3, is that Cyndi Lauper?
Sorry for threadjacking.
No.
Brandi Burkhardt.
Sometimes, I think, Idina's fans forget to think.

I know, and it gives a bad rap to all of us respectful Idina fans. Believe it or not, some of us do actually exist!

Ah, I'm wrong. And if you're referring to me, I'm not a fan of Idina.
Why can't you see that this is wrong? It's the theatre. A place where art lives. Especially that show, which is very serious. Even if Idina is focused, it has to be annoying to see that while acting. The Public is very small, and she was likely to see them. It's just tacky. They clearly did it to get her attention, or get talked about. They weren't there to think about the show, they were there to meet her at the stage door, clearly. This isn't a sports event.

the article is still there, but the pictures aren't working, at least for me...

Well said.

OMG remember that time when Eye-Dina fell into the trap door and tried to save herself by thrusting to the side which ended in a hospital trip and broken ribs the night before her final performance of Wicked?
yeah?
let's make her remember that!
-Feste from "Twelfth Night"
I wore my red tracksuit.
I had a cowbell around my neck.
I was painted green, head to toe.
I see nothing wrong with any of it.

Me neither, Jersey. I bet she didn't, either. People need to stop hatin' on Dini's fans!
Oh, Jersey?
Well, I came with my own toilet and sat on it through the show. Then, when Idina sang "SEE WHAT I WANNA SEE" I peed to represent her role in "The Wild Party." Beat that sucka!
I think about that a lot EponineThenardier. It just baffles me. I find that more people are concerned about the stage door experience than actually watching their favorite artist. They'll tongue lash anyone who bashes her, but they next to stalk someone who clearly doesn't want to spend hours at the stage door with them because they just scream in her ear.

It's only fair. She screams in ours.
JOKING! That was an open opportunity.
luv
Sure, show your support and admiration for a performer by reminding them of a tragic accident, and the fact that you couldn't make your last performance any other way. If I were Idina and saw that, it would break my heart. I'm sure she took it as ridicule, rather than a compliment.
You can bet that guarantees she'll never return to that role again

It is kind of odd. I mean, it is always a nice experience to meet your favorite stars, but they become your favorite stars because of their performances. The fact that some people just overlook this and focus so much on stalking them and not enjoying the work that made them fans in the first place is just absurd.
"I'm sure she took it as ridicule, rather than a compliment."
Ummm, I am sure Idina is a smart person and knows her fan base. I am sure she knows they mean well...
But that doesn't give them a right to do as they do.
I was also topless and had on weird white contacts to represent her role in "Just a Kiss" and I was wearing peach dyed satin shoes like the bridesmades wore in "Kissing Jessica Stein." Boooya!
And Yankee, BSO's avie actually does look a lot like Cyndi! Or maybe if Cyndi and Melanie Griffith (Before she got nipped and tucked) had a kid.

JG, did you also wear a tiara to represent her upcoming role in Enchanted?
And if you went topless and with the weird contacts, you better have acted like a schizo too...
JG - but you DIDN'T PEE IN ANY TOILETS, did you!?
And I was also naked to represent her role in Just a Kiss...
"I love you Idina...... my favorite performance of yours was falling thru the stage and breaking your ribs. I LOVED THAT!!!! I just had to re-create that costume, don't you love it??? Doesn't that make me so cool --- I am SOOOO your biggest fan, girl"
