my vote for ursula is harriet harris- she did replace pat carroll as mrs meers in millie in la jolla so one would assume she has similar range. and as i've said before vanessa is going to be a chorus girl, remember her key trait is that she has ariel's voice- in other words lipsyncs. not to mention at the end turns back into the purple version so even if they could get an actress outta the purple make-up and fatsuit (think the full make-up process for elphaba and edna turnblad combined) they'd never get her in in time.

I think Sherie Rene Scott should play Ursula. I also heard from my sources that they will do the swimming by way of heely shoes.

I'd still love to see Emily Skinner take on the role but I also think Felicia Finley could be fierce at it.

Felicia Finley would definately rock it! As for Harriet Harris, singing isn't exactly her speciality, but I'm sure she'd act the role just swell.
