"No More" is a gorgeous song, but for a film, it's rather unnecessary at that point in the script. One of the reasons Rob Marshall (wisely) cut "Class" from CHICAGO was to get the action going at that stage in the film. Same logic applies here, I think it makes perfect sense.
Yes. It would totally slow down the film but I still wish that they would shoot it to have as a deleted scene later.
I loved "CLASS" from the stage production of CHICAGO, but totally understood it being not included in the movie version...I love "NO MORE" and will miss it but once again I understand the decision to cut that out of the movie...I am going with blind trust here but I am sure everything will come out perfectly fine on the screen...
A month of re-shoots? Usually, a film just does re-shoots for a week or two and even that's enough time to screw up a film. A month is enough time to re-shoot at least half the film.
I'm hoping they might be good re-shoots like actually showing Jack's journey into the sky or killing off Rapunzel, but even that wouldn't take a whole month.
Something's fishy here. Re-shoots are almost never a good sign.

A few of the main actors have already moved on to new commitments. Emily Blunt is currently on location for another film so she will not be there and Chris Pine, who is already featuring a brand-new hairdo for his next film, begins shooting on location at end of this month. So perhaps the reshoots are not involving any major characters or sequences. That is what I am hoping, at least.
Lord, please let it be for the death of Rapunzel.

I agree. A month does seem like a long time. Maybe they are adding in Rapunzel's death, but who knows? I am just hoping that Disney learbed their leson after the whole "Any Moment" controversy, and are using this month to improve the film. But from what I've heard, the screening got generally positive reviews. So, here's hoping Into the Woods to be great!

Into The Woofs would be a fantastic Animal Planet remake. Only starring puppies.

I also hope they fix "I Know Things Now"; that sounds absolutely TERRIBLE in the script.

I meant the way the scene is described in the script.

"I Know Things Now" is not filmed as it was described in the leaked script (which was dated February; the film was shot 6 months later which is a lot of time to make revisions to the script)

My theory is that Rapunzel will live and The Baker's Wife will not cheat...but Cinderella's Prince will sleep with Rapunzel.
This sullies the prince but keeps our "heroine" guiltless. "Moments in the Woods" if it stays, will be in response to seeing the prince cheat...reworked a little obviously.
Rapunzel can't be killed since "Tangled" is a brand...she certainly couldn't commit suicide like she does in the show. And while it clearly sparks a deeper meaning for "Children Won't Listen" having Rapunzel completely shun her mother, perhaps even more vehemently and/or violently than she does in the show, can still spark that moment.
Obviously not as good...but it certainly doesn't ruin it. There are many levels between not as good and completely ruined.

"According to a crew member on Instagram they are doing a month of reshoots.I am both excited and scared."
I told you. They have to reshoot Meryl because they can't get her looking beautiful. Miscasting will bite you in the *ss everytime. They wouldn't have had to reshoot if Catherine Zeta-Jones played the witch.

Do you remember how uninspired she was in A Little Night Music. Bernadette proved that she did not deserve that tony.

I think Meryl is beautiful!
She looked great in The Devil Wears Prada (and at the Oscars)
Honestly I imagine her to have her "Death Becomes Her" hairstyle, except her hair will be vivid bue, and I imagine that she wears a black dress and cape.
So yeah...she'll look stunning!
Also, I am not a big Zeta-Jones fan (except for Chicago)

Anna has recently been working on Pitch Perfect 2 and she's in my hometown right now doing a new film called The Hollars. It seems like many of the main actors are unavailable, so what could they possibly be re-shooting without them? That's the really strange part.

Really BWW...REALLY!
They like to lurk around the boards don't they?
It's also entirely possible that a crew member would be hired for a month's work to produce only a week or two of actual reshoot days. Prep and wrap could be considerable given the involved sets.
If I could have one "wish list" thing added back in during re-shoots, it would be "No More."
EDIT: or a least a portion of it, particularly the last few stanzas.
I guess Stephen is listening to fans and putting things in at the last second. Explains why we have zippie trailers or photos

Anyone know if the "woods" were shot all on location, or was it a mixture with the soubnstage? I would imagine the "Children Will Listen" scene would be shot on a soundtage because of the special "tree effects" with that scene.
Both. Location and sound stage.
We don't know if they're adding anything though, right?
