I think the thing with Gavin is:
He is incredibly hot, such a talented singer and he seems to be thoroughly sweet and nice! He is in many ways a perfect man! There should be so many more like him on B'way and in the West End!
I wouldn't say I'm in love with him (don't know him), but I wouldn't mind going on a date with him (hehehe)

Gavin was excellent as Bert -- I saw him in the role in London three times. His accent was spot on as well, per a British friend of mine who didn't hear one slip-up.

Anyone hear Gavin on Sirius XM this morning?

I listened to Gavin on Sirius this morning. They will be replaying it at 9pm. He seems like such a nice guy. A true team player. I like how he took some time to compliment Paris, Megan, and Caissie on the radio show.

Gavin Creel is a heaven-sent gift!!!! Truly!! Everyone her needs to send him a private message on FaceBook. I sent him one on wednesday afternoon and got a reply from him by thursday evening. (I know that it's really his facebook, because the link to it was directly from his official website).

He could not have been any sweeter. I wouldn't dare copy and paste our mini conversation because it would ruin the special-ness of it, but he just said some SUPER sweet things.

In my PM, I basically told him that I'm an in-the-closet gay teen and that he is my role model because he fights for his rights and he's not ashamed of he is. Okay, I'll quote one thing I said:

"I am just going through a major identity crisis because I just want to be '[my name]', but I feel like I am '[my name], the queer'"

When he replied, he actually signed his message as 'Gavin Creel, the queer (and proud of it)'. Is it possible for him to be ANY more awesome!!!

I'm facebook friends with him, but I've never dared PM him or anything hehe. He's adorable though, I love reading his statuses and stuff And his videos are so cute too!

hang in there my friend. it is tough figuring out who you are, but i promise, you are an angel from god and perfect the way you are. just be gentle with yourself, try not to listen to the anger out there (some of it will come AT you...just ignore it) and KNOW....truly KNOW that you belong and you will be better than fine. you'll be amazing.

jazz, thank you for sharing that. you just helped thousands more. gavin is one to emulate and your generation is lucky to have such role models. wish i had, long time ago. he is selfless, commited, talented, and yes cute- never hurts. but such a nice guy it seems, as you are. good luck kiddo.

That's really amazing. It just goes to show how amazing he is as a person. I sent him a message a few days ago and requested him on facebook...still no reply but I figure he's really busy. Perhaps I'll get a response when he has more time! He probably gets a lot of messages and he probably replies to all of them so it's probably going to take a while! I hope I get a response!

I just think Gavin is such a great role model. He's talented, charming, handsome, and he uses his popularity to do good. There are not many people in this world like that! I hope to meet him someday.

I'm straight so I can't exactly pretend to know what going through all that is like, but I'm a big believer that EVERYONE needs to be reminded that being "different" is cool. Whether it be a sexuality-related thing, or anything else, we just need to always embrace our own and each others differences. No one should ever have to not feel comfortable in their own skin just because they might not be like "everyone else".

Gavin really is SUCH an amazing role model, for getting out there and advocating for all that, and just generally being an awesome person. I would be a fan of his no matter what because he's an amazing performer with a voice smoother than butter, but reading things like that makes me PROUD to be a fan on a personal level

right on, snl. there's nothing wrong with just being you. we all need to embrace each other and the message of love. after the telecast on GMA yesterday he took someone's sign from the crowd that said "equality now" and held it up and everyone went wild.

He never fails to impress me. He's become such a hero to me...and though I've been out for about 4 years now, I feel so much more comfortable with my sexuality after seeing all the things he's done and is doing...he's such an inspiration!

But he still hasn't replied to my PM
