In his latest email blast, JRB plugs Midnight in the Garden and his other recent projects (The Connector and the revival of The Last Five Years) and at the end, adds this:
"...we're getting ready for a huge announcement tomorrow, and then all hell is gonna break loose. "
What are we thinking? Broadway announcement for Midnight? Connector? A THIRD new musical this year?
Film adaptation of parade?
A film adaptation of The Bridges of Madison County?
A production of "Songs for A New World" directed by Ivo van Hove?!
Another collab with Ariana Grande (despite claiming she's putting non-Wicked work on hold)?

a BRIDGES revival directed by Michael Arden, starring Amy Adams & Patrick Wilson, that strips it down to a 3-character (8-character?) musical but adds a 25-piece orchestra?
(hey, a gurl can dream)
The Last Five Years announces they have the Hudson before fan presale on the 22nd.

I know hype is part of the job, but building up a location announcement for an already-announced show as "something huge" would feel awfully anticlimactic.

Be still, my beating heart
Okay, then it’s probably a Midnight Broadway transfer.
This could be a PARADE Tour principal cast announcement.
It begins previews in Schenectady on January 11, 2025 and has 16 cities announced (with some holes) through Sept 2025. And/or an announcement of more cities.
Was he possibly referring to his first "Lucille Frank" Carolee's news re: Kimberly Akimbo?

Why would he be referring to that lol

We were all wrong. A Concert at Carnegie Hall in October with a 22-piece orchestra.
I must admit, that is pretty huge.
Has all hell broken loose yet?

Total clueless shot in the dark as the morning was passing with no news. But that news did seem to land more momentously than his actual news. 🤷🏻♂️

Ditto

This is one night at Carnegie Hall. Totally different than a weekslong residency in a Broadway house.
I don't assume it'll get close to sold out until singers are announced.
The presale code is orchestra for anyone who is curious.
