I've heard similar. The original idea was to have Chandra and Jackie leave on 9/23 and have replacements at the same. I have heard that the new Elphaba isn't ready yet, so Chandra is living and then Jackie will when Elphaba is ready.
I find it amazing that that thanks to Wicked DiNoia has been able to travel all over the world. First as a quick replacement in the Aussie production now Korea.

Wicked Korea is ending soon anyways and Jennifer said about 2 weeks ago she only had a few weeks remaining.... so it's possible that she might be coming in to temporarily replace Donna. I think Chandra is supposed to finish in the show this coming Sunday (9/23/12). If not, then it's very soon
My money is on Nicole Parker returning to the role after leaving the first national tour - she and Alli were an excellent pair awhile back, and I'd love to see them back together.
Also, the standby who will be filling in for Donna is not someone whose been mentioned on here yet.

ClumsyDude15 is right guys. I'm the one you want! Its me. It's meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Sorry I felt like the must appropriate time to do it! lol
Good for Jackie. I was working front of house at WICKED when she first stepped into the role in Houston and loved her in the show! She makes a fantastic Elphaba!
What about Diana DeGarmo?? Personally I hope she could play Elphaba!! Or maybe that is just me... She can act, sing and dance!! She was fantastic in Hairspray!!
I think the Broadway production has been very lucky to have such a varied range of actors playing the lead roles of Elphaba and Glinda. I think the Broadway community should be glad that they have such a high turnover and freshness to the roles compared to say the London production. So I say good on Jackie for staying with the role for longer than a year!
In over 6 years in London, it has only had FOUR principle Elphabas (Idina, Kerry, Alexia and current lead Rachel) and FOUR principle Glinda's (Helen, Diane, Louise and current lead Gina).
My votes for the new Elphie are... Caissie Levy- her voice is magical and effortless, I know she's voiced that she would like to come back, and she may not be ready due to a vacation after the Ghost runs in London and NYC. Also, I know she has had vocal surgery since her first appearnace, maybe she is learning to sing the role differently or working on placement. Next... Anneliese Van Der Pol- I will continue to voice this until she freakin' does it! Eden Espinosa- But since her album was just successfully funded she may not have time, but she'll always be my favorite! And... Lindsay Mendez- Just because I would like to hear her intrepretation. I'm not sure I fully see her in the role, but I'm open minded after her captivating performance in Dogfight. Those are my choices in order of preference. Either way I can't wait to see who the new Elphie is!
I wish that Megan Hilty would return to the role on the 2nd ntl. She is by far my favorite G(a)linda, and the 2nd ntl. comes to my town next March. I know this is highly unlikely though.
Theatre is my life. No one can take that away from me.
Wicked Divas was just in Houston last weekend with Nicole and Alli and they mentioned that Alli was returning to Broadway in a couple of weeks. So there's your next Galinda, apparently.
Ceej, that is correct. Alli Mauzey returns to the role of Glinda on October 16th. And this is just a little off topic, but if anyone ever has any questions regarding past, present, or future casting in WICKED, this website notes every replacement ever made, and is one of the first to announce when a new actor is coming in. This is not just for Broadway, but every production around the world. The only exception I believe is the 30 minute version that Universal Studios Japan did a while ago. I'm not kidding. This has literally everything. Click Here
