I want to punch whoever cast him as Leo Frank in the face. I like Jeremy but he is not a Leo Frank.

Agree, neonlightsxo. I guess nothing is safe from the "broadway beefcake casting" stunt.

Jeremy Jordan, "Broadway Beefcake" though he may be happens to be very talented.
Of course that is just my opinion.
Maybe you have a better reason why he's always working and getting cast in high profile projects.
Oh, I see you think it's just the "Broadway Beefcake" factor. Gotcha.

My goodness, CarlosAlberto!
Yes, I think he is talented. It is possible to disagree with casting without insulting an actor's talent. Sorry, that was not my intention. I clearly offended you...
I would have a hard time believing him as Leo and it has nothing to do with acting or singing. He just looks way too able bodied to me and not at all like a "skinny Jew from Brooklyn."
Of course that is just MY opinion.

cknick, I'm with you.
Jeremy Jordan is very talented. I am a fan. However, I have to wonder if the casting people from MCP even know the musical Parade. Because Jeremy is the wrong type.

You didn't offend me per se and I can agree that he may not look like your traditional casting for this specific role but you see in your original post you only attributed your dislike of him being cast on just the "Beefcake Factor". So you came off as just focusing on that and you thinking he was cast strictly based on his looks, which I am sure is not the case.
And of course you are entitled to your opinion.

People-- it's a CONCERT! Sheesh-- That's what great about it. You don't have to cast anyone based on physical appearance or traits. He certainly has the vocal range to sing the part, which is the entire point of a CONCERT!

It's a concert.
Can he sing the role? Yes.
There you go.

I realize it's a concert, but considering it's so rarely produced, I wish they would have done a better job casting Leo, that's all.

We'll alert the producers so that they can go scouring for a skinny Jew from Brooklyn instead.

Have you learned nothing from Bryn Terfel, Kad?

Turning out to be a good night... Benanti, Karimloo, Henry, Mientus, Jordan... and of course, JRB.
Looking forward to it.

HA! Though I might argue that he really couldn't sing the role...at least with the dexterity needed.
Just got my tickets!

He'll sing it fine, but count me with the side who doesn't think he's right for the role at all.
