Update: Telecharge apparently put the seats on sale this morning accidentally and my purchase went through without issue due to that, not due to my using a Citibank card. Apparently, the tickets will be up on Citi's Private Pass website tonight or tomorrow.

Jessie Mueller is almost a spitting image of the YOUNG Carole King which the show is based off of. You are comparing Anika Larsen to a current pic of Carole King which is completely not what the show is going for. And TRUST ME Jessie Mueller sounds just like Carole King.

I guess this is a stupid question, but I can't afford to pay full price and I'd really like to see this. Does anyone want to speculate as to the likelihood of discount codes for the New York production? San Francisco seems to be selling very well. I guess it depends on reviews from out West. Maybe the audience will be boomers only, and the younger set won't be interested?

There definitely will be discount codes and most all new shows wind up on TKTS board in the early part of its run..

Just wanted to post this amazing article from the SF Chronicle this AM, really interesting stuff about Carole's involvement with the show and about finding Mueller as the star. Sounds like this show might be one to be reckoned with.

Thanks Kelly2 for posting the link. I got my tickets for 1/11/14 -night before opening night. I am a life-long Goffin & King and especially, Carole King fan. I've met her on several occassions and she is as certainly as 'beautiful' off stage as she is on stage...
