I watched the show last night because I actually knew a few people who made it to Grease Academy.. all were cut during the sing off But, I must say 1) I think Austin is quite full of himself. He may have talent but, america doesn't like cocky people....perhaps that is why Pouting Constantine was cut from Idol so early on. 2) Juliana is adorable and can sing but, I find 2 other girls to be better than her. That Kate girl is pretty darn outstanding as well as cocktail waitress Ashley Spencer. Beautiful voice and looks the role. Reminds me of Carrie Underwood.

Just curious, did the guy who's girlfriend "dumped" him on a previous episode when he was chosen and she wasn't, make it to the top 12?

My favorites are Kate Rockwell, Juliana Hansen and Derek Keeling.

gumbo, your friend Allie did make it. She's the youngest at only 18! We didn't see much of her, though, so it will be nice to see what she can do starting Sunday.

I agree that Ashley Spencer seems to be the one to watch, so far anyway. She's very good. I also like Austin and I don't think he looks old at all. Yes, he may be cocky but is that some big surprise in the acting world? Come on now. He's got an excellent chance, in my opinion. Watch for Kevin Greene, though, I think he's going to be an audience favorite.

The guys who are finalists are quite a bit older, overall, than the girls: 31,30,27,26,22 and 21 vs. 23,23,22,21,20 and 18.

also what about that katherine girl? They seem to only be showcasing Ashley,Juliana and Kate. The 3 wonderful ladies I must add but, who are the other 3?

They're setting up Austin to be voted off I think. He, the "season pro" (though hardly more seasoned than many others) makes him the competition against the underdogs. They're setting him up so they can have one of the "underdog" Danny's steal his thunder.

Apparently that's what makes good tv.

Obviously, the producers do not want Austin Miller because they are making him out to be a complete jerk. The audience/voters will not like that.

I love Juliana but I just don't feel she is the best for the part. I thought Kate was the best vocally, but Ashley came in a close second.
