She sounded pretty out of breath the whole time. But I did like when she came down in Glinda's bubble --er, I mean horseshoe.
kchenofan's computer is broken right now. This is her fridge. Now, you can leave a message, but say it slowly, so I can write it on a post-it note and stick it to myself.
Watching it with my daughter. She said it looked like it was from a country Broadway musical. Yeah- she was totally out of breath but at least she was singing live. Although, I didn't really feel like it was singing- felt like she talkied a lot of it. Her body was just sick! She kinda reminded me of Julianne Hough. Brad Paisley didn't look too impressed afterwards.
Did you see how much she was dancing and how intense the routine was? At least it was live and she didn't even have a backing track like most musicians do.
I agree Charlie. i would put up with that rather than the latter. however, I think Taylor Swift's live singing is very larry the lamb and way off and she is only standing still.
singing live is very revealing. we know lbb can sing live though
true and also sing and dance to jerry mitchell coreo. i still think under the circumstances she was going out to prove something and i hope she did it.
^ Well it looks liek she might have. Entertainment Weekly gave her a positive review:

BEST PERFORMANCE BY A NEW ARTIST A prediction: I think Laura Bell Bundy is going to be one of the most divisive big-new-stars in country music. Purists are going to hold her previous career — Broadway lead in shows like Wicked and Legally Blonde — against her, while her younger fan-base will think it’s cool that she can execute such impeccable choreography as she did this night, sing strongly while wiggling, and fearlessly expose her midriff. (The country audience likes its new artists to be demure before they go sexy — cf. Carrie Underwood.) Anyway, Bundy performing “Giddy On Up” was one of the real hoots of the evening.
I guess I'm in the minority, but I thought she was great. And the weird thing is, I didn't like the song very much before. It's not a bad song, but for some reason her recorded version just grated on me. I actually thought she performed it MUCH better live than recorded -- and how often does that happen?
Yes, she was breathless by the end, but . . . I don't know, somehow she sounded more natural and just better in general. And it's all the more impressive that she was able to pull off that very difficult song while doing that very strenuous dance routine. (Just about the only thing I didn't care for was her costume -- I thought her costumes in the video were much more attractive.) Good for her.
Oh, I'm familiar with the history. And I have no problem with people critiquing her performances. To each his own. As I said, I didn't care for the recorded version much myself.
Yup. To each his own. But know the "many people" and their sour words here often look like bad graffiti on this message board ... not often anything constructive.
I thought Laura was great last night. I was entertained.
I was thinking the same about the similarity with Julianne as well. Julianne looked very very orange last night though. Also, when young Julianne had a little pop group with her brother in England.
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
"Yup. To each his own. But know the "many people" and their sour words here often look like bad graffiti on this message board ... not often anything constructive. "
Same can be said for people that just love anything no matter what.
cactus, last time I checked, the ACMs were the American Country MUSIC Awards. Not for dancing. For music and singing. So while she danced well, she barely sang. If she couldn't handle singing during a high energy dance performance like that, she shouldn't have done it.
I give her points for dancing well but at the end of the day, she couldn't breathe and was just a huge joke. She is not country at all. I mean, there's a hoedown dance/awkward rap break mid-song. WTF.
Julianne always looks orange, unfortunately. Caught the Too Much Spray Tan Syndrome on DWTS, I suppose. She's such a beautiful girl, I wish someone would tell her to stop making herself look like an Oompa-Loompa.
