She paid for that. Buying a slot on the show when Beanie wasn't nominated was her audition as replacement. It worked.
With both Michele and Tovah backstage at the same time I predict asphyxiation will replace Covid as the reason cast members miss performances. Tovah alone can suck the air out of the room, but Tovah AND Lea??
I do hope Lea pulls back on the bronzer as she's looking downright Indian lately. Although maybe Bollywood is the "new direction" Beanie was talking about. We'll see.

When she was on 'The View' back in April, she said she was leaving the end of September, and Beanie was contracted through October (but never said if BF was leaving when her contract was up).
I think that Bean found out that they were announcing the superior Fanny today a few days ago and probably thought it undermined her ability to get an audience since they can just wait two months for Lea.

Nonsense."
Any number of people here have said she paid for that spot herself. It was her "See how I can work well with people? Remember how talented I am? And don't you need a new Fanny?" moment. It worked.
Lynch also talked about how exhausting the show was. She's likely more than okay leaving a few weeks early. Has Lynch missed many performances?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

If this is true, I forgive her of all past transgressions for being such a baller. She is my spirit animal.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
If by any chance they go the way of making any other changes to the production.. to put new wind in its sails... these are changes I would like to see. Put a real darn curtain in there. New wardrobe from top to bottom for Fanny. At least give that ugly brick wall thing another color. Have Harvey give it another go to that awful second act scene between Fanny and her mother. And for goodness sake ; RE-STAGE THAT AWFUL CURTAIN CALL!
Let's not forget - some of the first rumors we heard of a FUNNY GIRL revival was from Rosie O'Donnell, at the end of 2018 after Lady Gaga won rave reviews in 'A Star Is Born'. It was then that RO first said there would be a revival, with LG as 'Fanny' and Rosie herself would play 'Mrs. Brice'.
"It is the truth," said O'Donnell. "Michael Mayer is doing it. He's already got the rights from the estate. I'm going to play Rose Brice." - October 23, 2018
After a while, Rosie no longer mentioned Lady Gaga, but insisted the musical was happening and she would be playing 'Mrs Brice' - she mentioned this as late as the end of summer, 2020 and claimed the show would be taking the stage sometime in 2021, once COVID was over.

"A Broadway insider tells us that producers were planning on making the announcement on Monday – but Feldstein, 29, beat them to the punch when she posted on Sunday evening."
And this "blindsided" them?? Page Six needs clicks, y'all.

Yes to most of this. But I imagine that Harvey is over it and out. That curtain call is really boring and doesn't work. Such a easy fix.

When I looked around noon center Orch was pretty much taken but that was it. Upstairs was pretty empty as was Side Orch. House either pulled quite a few or scalpers really bought about 70% of the seats or she has a lot of fans.
"I hope your Fanny is bigger than my Peter."
Mary Martin to Ezio Pinza opening night of Fanny.
