I just HOPE it leads to protests so that we can actually see people screaming about Lea Michele being, at worst, not a nice person, with the MJ marquee in the background.
HAHAHAHAHAA. What exciting dreams you have while sleeping! Cute, though.
Michele announces to an entire crew that she is going to defecate in a Black co-star's wig.
Black co-star doesn't wear a wig...?
If not, then yes this is a racist statement as the assumption that her co-star's Black hair isn't "real" somehow or that Black women automatically wear wigs. Equally aggressive as White women are rather prone to weird attitudes about Black hair.
As I said before, it's going to be interesting to see how the mods are going to handle the L** M******* criticism as they are so reactionary on the matter.

And this "blindsided" them?? Page Six needs clicks, y'all."
Looks like Beanie took a page out of Star Jones' playbook. Remember back in the summer of 2006 when Star Jones blindsided Barbara Walters on her own show ("The View" when she said, "After much prayer and consideration, I've decided I will not be returning to 'The View' next season," and then explained the show was taking on a new direction which she didn't want to be a part of (Rosie O'Donnell was to be announced as moderator). And that was the end of Star Jones on the show - Walters told her she was terminated when the show ended.
After that show, Walters insisted she didn't know Jones was going to 'pull that stunt'. She then said it wasn't Star's decision to leave - the ratings were starting to fall, and viewers said they were tuning out because of Star. She was fired from the show.
So I wonder if Fierstein will make a statement once Beanie is gone, and say it wasn't her decision to leave, and he was surprised she pulled a stunt like that ? I wonder if he will let her finish off the next two weeks ?

"
It's six dates of a City Winery tour. It's not like she's a pop star doing extensive dates and an intensive show. She's singing with a small band to crowds of a few hundred at best. Somehow I doubt it'll be much of an issue.
So the posts that claim that Michele's actions are definitely not racist and Ware is somehow unhinged are left untouched but the posts that question whether Michele's actions are in fact racist are deleted.

It's clear that this production is not what Ms. Beanie expected. Bad reviews of the production and bad performance reviews that many times were too kind to Ms Feldstein's performance.
You bring back FUNNY GIRL (finally) and cast Beanie Feldstein??!!??!!
Didn't anyone see her in HELLO DOLLY? A waaaaaaay over-the-top performance, even for a character that is over-the-top. I was so happy when I saw DOLLY a second time and Beanie was out.
It was a poor decision to put an truly "untested" actor in a stage performance of this magnitude.
Lea Michelle having been "passed over" for the original casting is now going to make more $$$$ than if she opened the damn thing. Let's just hope she plays nice in the sandbox. If this doesn't work then neither will she ever again."

She paid for that. Buying a slot on the show when Beanie wasn't nominated was her audition as replacement. It's worked."
Nonsense."
Any number of people here have said she paid for that spot herself. It was her "See how I can work well with people? Remember how talented I am? And don't you need a new Fanny?" moment. It worked.

WTF does Fierstein have to do with any of this?! He’s not a producer of the show, his only involvement is revising the book of the revival. Why in Hell would he even bother to get involved and issue any statement? It’s not his production. He’s just part of the creative team. Jane Lynch would have more reason to issue a statement than Fierstein.

It's The Boy Friend. And it's a pretty terrific movie.

It is what it is.
If I personally felt this much vitriol for a person I certainly wouldn't let them effect me to the point that I am wasting my energy going on the internet to trash them cuz in my book they are just not that important.
Lea Michele is obviously running around rent free in some people's heads."
BrodyFosse: "Based on the buzz this news is generating AND the fair amount of enthusiastic reaction this looks to indeed be the event show of the Fall."
It may well be the event show, but most likely not for the reasons you cite. You thought BF got bashed? Fasten your seat belts. Lea has quite a lot of doodies in her water closet.
