Lea Michele to Star as Fanny Brice in FUNNY GIRL Starting 9/6; Beanie Feldstein Departing 7/31 — Page 17

I'm betting there's going to be lawsuits flying like confetti once the dust settles.

Already talk of potential lawsuits, and they may well be right.
But ultimately, BF may be better off. This FG is a threadbare fiasco anyway.

We were too nice to Beanie tbh.

Wait, what? Lawsuits? I’m so confused… 😭

Will they play a bootleg of Beanie's Don't Rain On My Parade for the jury to determine if she was untalented enough to warrant firing?

Well, in addition to a previous message on THIS board, over on ATC there's a post that contains a tweet from Adam Feldman (TIme Out New York) that definitely suggests this is not going to be a smooth ride for anyone concerned.

I’ve seen the tweet, but I’m curious as to why you stated people talking about a “lawsuit.” Where was that said?

FYI, the tweet:

I just HOPE it leads to protests so that we can actually see people screaming about Lea Michele being, at worst, not a nice person, with the MJ marquee in the background.

I wonder if Amber Ardolino is leading the screaming. She seems to be firmly in Beanie’s corner after being bought with a cheeseburger and some French fries.

Not gonna give too much weight to Radar Online if they can't even get the name of the show right. "Funny Gal"???

Um. What the hell? Why is this sort of fat shaming okay?

- Who is Amber Ardalino?

Wow. So it seems you can be exposed to be a vile person who bullies her cast mates and crew and still get cast in a big Broadway show. Depressing.

Someone posted, sarcastically: "You can be a bully and still be cast in a big Broadway show."
This show isn't big. Don't fret.

There is a British theatre vlogger by the name "Mickey Jo Theatre". Here are his thoughts on his whole Funny Girl drama. https://youtu.be/OajlBpAdj5I

Highly recommend all his videos even if you haven't seen a show.

What could be the problem? After all, they worked together on "Glee."
Exactly. Someone with firsthand experience working with Lea doesn't want to give her a second chance. Very telling.
I suppose Lynch should start reading these boards so the philosphers here can tell her God would want her to give Lea another chance.

If we’re being honest, producers most likely asked Lynch to extend so they could market her and Michele together as a Glee reunion, but Lynch has been pretty clear from before the drama that she only likes short theatre stints. Yes, it could have been fun for the two to be onstage for 2 weeks, but then Michele is getting used to her role almost like Previews, and then Tovah would replace Lynch and she would be getting used to the show… I think they knew they either wanted Lynch to extend or Tovah and Lea to start at the same time. Now maybe if they had gotten Amber Riley, Lynch would have chosen to extend. I don’t know the answer to that. But the point is, neither does anyone else.

Tweeted by Adam Feldman:
"FWIW, an update from my Funny Girl source (who so far has not led me wrong): “It’s really hitting the fan…There’s a lot of screaming…So get the popcorn because the next two weeks are gonna be messy and wild.” This does not seem to be a peaceful transition!"

Anything is possible, but c'mon. Lynch does NOT want to work with Michele even for a DAY. I can't imagine why.
