A lot of people are saying things like it's about freedom of speech, but is it really about freedom of speech when dollars earned by the company are being donated to organizations that actively oppress a certain group?
Jesus loves me!!!!!
No one's freedom of speech is endangered right now. NO ONE. Some people are staging a protest. Others are supporting the other side. That's how it works...and I get that. But what they're smiling about in those pics just turns my stomach.
It would be like people in the 60s taking pictures of themselves holding nooses or standing next to "whites only" water fountains. It's really sick.
Pat Boone looks like he spend two hours waiting directly under the Chick Fil A heating lamp before picking up those sandwiches.
Robbie, I absolutely agree. The politicians tweeting pictures of themselves is what especially gets me. Though I never did like any of them, so that's probably why they bother me more.

There's an update posted.

UPDATE***
It turns out Hanks isn’t completely alone. Broadway performer Wallace Smith (Godspell) also tweeted out his support for Chick-fil-A. While not quite the same ringing endorsement Hanks gave, it’s still troubling to see someone whose lifestyle and career is dependent on the work of LGBT people not coming out against such a bigoted corporation. It seems our out Broadway friends and allies need to step up the education in the community. Your chicken sandwich is not more valuable than the lives of gay people that are threatened in other countries.
What Happens when a Broadway star supports Chick-fil-A?
I hear Morgan James eats at Chick-fil-a.
Broadway "Star" is a bit of an overstatement.
Morgan James doesn't eat at Chick-Fil-A, stop spreading rumors.
She does sell Amway, though.
Wasn't there a rumor Bailey Hanks was waitressing at Olive Garden after LB? She's probably just hoping Chick-Fil-A will hire her. Time to broaden her horizons so she doesn't get typecast.
Well, at least Max Crumm retweeted Max von Essen's Chick Fil A tweet.
'Well, at least Max Crumm retweeted Max von Essen's Chick Fil A tweet.'
That's a hall of mirrors I don't think I want to walk down.
(Anyone want to tweet this somehow? Post it on her facebook etc.)

My friends in the south -- where, full disclosure, I was born and raised -- tell me this operated very differently than, say, the fervor surrounding the Bush/Dixie Chicks debacle a decade ago, that otherwise indifferent people were cajoled into participating. "'Cause everybody else is." That's not remotely comforting, because it proves what lemmings many really are. But it was approached almost as a regional pride rather than a sociopolitical litmus test, i.e. "y'all, we're southerners n' we don't like them tellin' us what chicken we can feed our faces with." It was puerile reasoning, but more cultural. In some ways, perhaps that's much worse than being religiously motivated, as it suggests civil rights are trumped by capriciously determined regional mores. On the other hand, that's certainly been proven on southern soil well before 2012.

Update #2
We have Twitter-pologies kids: (somehow she's still showing up in my feed)
@BaileyHanks
I completely and utterly apoligize to all who were offended by things done by myself. My intentions were never to hurt or harm.
@BaileyHanks
I know my apoligy will not be accepted by all and i understand, you have that right. My prayer is that everyone lives peacefully and happily
@BaileyHanks
Please know I meant NO harm, and those who know me...gay or straight know that about me, I have never spoke out against others rights.
@BaileyHanks
Thank you for informing me I am much aware thanks to all of your tweets. I now ask that we all go back to our lives and work toward the good

Eh, I thought she was a beyatoochie on the casting show, was appalled that a "mean girl" won (wasn't she the girl who said she's always wanted to be Elle Woods...as if that had earlier been an option...) and promptly boycotted the show. Not that I'd have ever have spent money to see that show again but still...
GURL DONT "APOLIGIZE." YOU BETTA RU-POLOGIZE. And use that Auto-Correct, girl. Not helping your case.
Apology not accepted. She knew damn good and well what she was doing and the message she was giving.
Someone just scared of having to be in the same room as a gay casting director and wanted to do some back peddling.

Is it just an error on my part, or has she deleted her twitter account as well?
