!!!!! I cannot WAIT to pick up a program when I'm there in a couple of weeks!! I've been waiting for those to hit the merch table. :)
Understudy question: Is Stephen Lynch scheduled off anytime soon? Would Matt Stocke by the understudy for him?
Stephen is going to be out September 3rd - 10th. Kevin Kern is his u/s. I highly recommend going if you can.
But if you want to see Matt Stocke in a major role, go when Richard Blake is out, as Matt is the first u/s for Glen.

Hello y'all!!! This is my first post on BroadwayWorld. I finally decided to make an account here, even if it does eat up all my spare time!!
I was at the Sunday July 30th show this past weekend (my friend is in the show and has been asking me for weeks to come see her, but I live in Michigan so its hard!) and I thought it was great. Really enjoyed the show.
However I found the audience extremely distracting and at times obnoxious. My friend told me that Sunday was especially bad; I guess there was a group of some kind making excessive noise. I was really fed up with them by the end of the show, and the cast members were laughing at them and cracking jokes about it backstage. Maybe I'm just not used to theater ettiquete and things have loosened up since I last came to a Broadway theater. Regardless - I was irritated.
Overall though it was a great show and I'm glad to see so many great fans on this board! I hope I'll get to know some of you in the future!!

That's happened a few times when I've been there, people being really irritating (my friends and I sometimes cheer loudly, but we don't yell things out in the middle of the performance).
Who is your friend, if you don't mind my asking?
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride.
I love you because I know no other way than this.
I believe in fate
But it's up to us to follow through

I was at the Sunday show and I think there were a lot of things going on that day that made the audience rowdy.
There was one group that apparently KNEW Kevin Cahoon in the mid orchestra. I had a friend sitting right in front of them. They were large. The group right behind me was either friends/family of Cara Cooper (they kept having to point her out to an older person with them whenever she came onstage with a different wig on because some of them weren't recognizing her, it was cute)
Then there was just some random audience stuff - most notably a woman about 5 rows behind me (older) who yelled "YEAH GIRL!" after Laura threw the sheet music at Stephen.
I thought the audience was kind of fun - and almost all of the "screaming" was after numbers (ranndom woman yeller excluded)

In case anyone missed it, John Tartaglia sang 'Right on Time' at the 'Flopz and Cuts 3' benefit concert on Sunday at Joe's Pub. And speaking of songs that got cut, I want to hear 'Eight Men' (Granny's song, which I hear was dropped in Seattle).
And I don't know how long it's been up, but there's still a display window of 'The Wedding Singer' up at Macy's (on the 34th Street north side, toward the middle of the block).

Hey everybody! I am also a newbie to the BWW boards, and as soon as I saw this thread, I knew EXACTLY where I wanted to post. I have become such a big fan of The Wedding Singer since I saw the show last month (7/15 evening show). I instantly fell in love with the music and the oh so wonderful cast! Everybody was in that night but Laura, but I am so glad that I got to see Tina as Julia. The girl definitely did not disappoint!
The news about the programs makes me very very happy! Hopefully I will be able to get one of my NYC friends to get me one since sadly I won't be able to get back to the city anytime soon.
Also.. can anyone tell me which media player the video on theatre.com uses? It isn't working on my computer and I really want to see it!

oh, i also can't wait for the program!
i got a "1985" shirt which I love. it has all the "simply wed tour" locations on the back, and it says all these places in NJ. everyone thinks they're a real band, and asks what part of NJ i'm from, and i'm like "this is a WEDDING SINGER shirt! go see the show! blah!"
:P
yeah, something like that
ah, i love this show so much! favorite lyric:
"blah blah blah, and my plastic crucifix/tonight we're gonna party like it's 1986!!!"
:)
"Saturday Night in the City" everyone. Awesome song. (One of many in that show)

Posted: 8/3/06 at 10:00amI've heard from many people that "Saturday Night in the City" is the all time best song. But I really don't enjoy it that much. I actually think it's one of my least favorite. My 2 favorite songs (If I had to choose just two) would be "It's not that Kind of Thing" and "Casualty of Love"

Does anyone know where Felicia Finley is from? I have heard it is somewhere near my hometown, but I haven't been able to find the exact area anywhere online!
Sorry if this question has already been posted...

Wayman_Wong, what does the window display look like?
Hmmm...I wonder if anyone would be willing to take a pic and post it for us non-New Yorkers...
