Thank god i didn't buy tickets and Ry can you answer my question on "Who have you gotten things back from"
I know you will problbly have a snide comment now but it was worth a try.
Anyway that sucks for the people who are going
I feel so sorry for some poor guy who is sitting there calling Broadway divas at 11:30 asking if they'd like to learn a bunch of Sondheim and get an evening gown in less than 24 hours.

I think people will be disappointed, but they'll still get to see Jenna Russel and Angela Lansbury....both very impressive in my mind!!

I had a feeling this was gonna go down after reading the thread about the announcement before Gypsy tonight. Get well soon girls!
Now, what will happen to the concert?
yah true.
(To ry's post)
There go two TONYs down the drain..
Half-Kidding.
I'm still very excited.
Angela Lansbury!! Hello!
Paging Donna and Sutton...
They made the smart decision. The main reason anyone is going to this concert anyway is to see Angela Lansbury. They'll give her a few more numbers and the audience will be more than happy.
The last thing Patti & Laura want are to miss performances of GYPSY.
Benanti dropped out of something? What? Shocking!
^ Oh, good lord, the woman is SICK!
I wonder if this thread will last longer than the initial "Cry-Baby is closing!" thread.

Weird that Laura is still on the list. Also says that there could be more ladies (and gentlemen) who appear as surprises. I am very excited!
Laura will also be out, she had me remove it from her website today. Apparently, there is a plauge going around the St. James.
The Playbill articles are pre-written and set to change at midnight. It will probably be changed in the morning, when people are in the office.

While it is a shame that Patti dropped out, the promise of the surprise guests is incredibly intriguing! I can't wait for tomorrow night!!!

That blows, but it's quite a smart move from both ladies.
I think seeing Lansbury alone is worth going, and if you get Pam Myers and Jenna Russell along the way, then even better. I am still surprised that Elaine Stritch, Donna Murphy, Bernadette Peters, and other typical Sondheim ladies aren't appearing in this.
She's always sick!

Raúl Esparza !?
Well, I can't complain because I'll be at "The Broadway Musicals of 1954" seeing three of my favorite brassy ladies... Debbie Gravitte, Natalie Venetia Belcon and Emily Skinner (sharing the same stage!).
Honestly, I would love to be there. Maybe Vicki Clark will be one of the special guests?

My guess would be Esparza or Cerveris.
I was thinking Daniel Evans....if only because he and Jenna Russell could sing "Move On"
Michael Cerveris or Raul Esparza would be great, too....:)
