MOULIN ROUGE! to reopen on September 24

Ashley Loren is still listed as "Satine Alternate" in the press release, so I assume they are looking to bring in someone with a higher profile to replace Olivo. I wonder who that will be. To be honest, Satine is kind of a thankless part in this adaptation.

Nicole Scherzinger for Satine PLEASE... (a boy can dream).

Going to the reopening of this just to send good vibes to Danny Burstein.

Will Satine always be a role with an alternate?

I reeeeeally hope they implement some if not all of the changes I have suggested... they certainly can-can-can.

Yes I’m sure the creatives look at this board daily and write down everything you’ve suggested.

Kudos to them to putting on a special performance for front line workers the day before the official re-opening.

I have to imagine that whoever replaces Olivo will be a person of color. The optics of replacing an actor of color with a white actor would not be good.

The show is doing just fine without your suggested changes.

I'm most curious about the SeatGeek rollout. I see no interactive seat maps with seat numbers on there, and, unless they've created them for Broadway, I can see that being a significant problem with many regular theatregoers. I suppose all will be answered soon.

I’ve said from the beginning that the replacement cast I want is Christian Dante White as Christian and Ariana DeBose as Satine.

How exciting. Looks like they got rid of Tuesday night and Thursday afternoon performances. I hope that changes, as the Thursday was popular because no other show were doing matinees that particular day.

Didn't Phantom have a Thursday matinee?

Yes! I just checked their old schedule. Still, competing with only one other show does well for business.

I'm going to guess and say that the Production contract minimum will not change, and no one's salary will be lowered (that would just be bad for morale and cause more problems), but that all actors who are new to shows with less than an 8 show a week schedule will have less negotiating power, and that salaries will be on average be closer to the minimum than usual.

Does anyone remember how much the first few rows of the front mezz and front orchestra (not the can can seating) were running for before the shutdown happened? Just trying to get a ballpark handle on how much tickets may be before the presale starts Monday, and I'm completely blanking.

$189-249

Yes, I had front row mezz for late March 2020 and paid $249 plus fees. I remember them being between $199=299.
I have no idea what they will do with ticket prices now but considering how well other shows are selling for the few first months, I doubt it will be much lower.
