I have to admit that I will at least give it a try. However, I'm thinking this will either SUCK OR will be decent but unable to find an audience to keep it alive.
Jenna Ushkawitz (totally wrong spelling, I'm sure), also from Spring Awakening, is also in show.

Just to add two more shows that recently had semi-brilliant musical episodes - It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia a few months back had the characters putting together a travesty of a musical. Also, though it's hardly the first time with the series, South Park's penultimate episode for this season was this fantastic parody of High School Musical.
That Always Sunny musical was completely insane (then again, every episode of that show is insane). "You gotta pay the troll toll to get into the boy's hole/boy's soul."
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
Even though I agree that it looks like a big cheesy mess, I'll be watching it exclusively for Jayma Mays. (I did the same thing for Paul Blart: Mall Cop...)
Default = the beautiful and talented Leisha Hailey
Anyone have a start date? I thought it was using American Idol as it's lead in.....is that still true?

Kristin Chenoweth and Victor Garber are joining the cast in what will likely turn out to be recurring roles! Wicked alum Chenoweth, who showed off her awesome pipes on the late, great Pushing Daisies, will play a part that's as top secret as it is hilarious. (Sorry, that's all you're getting out of me.) Fellow Broadway vet Garber (Sweeney Todd) will play the father of Glee's leading man, Hairspray hunk Matthew Morrison. (Tony winner Debra Monk is his mom.)
Even with this stellar cast (well, mostly) it has epic fail written all over it!

I'm willing to give it a chance...but don't have high expectations.

I think this show is starting to go into Broadway Actor overload. How many people that watch Fox know who any of these people are, besides Victor Garber (because of Alias and Legally Blonde)?

I don't think they care if anyone KNOW these folks. BUT at least they are trying to load it with musical TALENT.
