I would pay a good bit of money to see Jeremy Pope in this.

Not again.
this play needs to be bury for 15-20 years. There are other plays to do revivals. I’m surprised that certain person that was in the news did the reading.

McDonald as Amanda...sure. Do it at the Goodman, ART, Kennedy Center, Geffen, some first-tier regional theater. But Broadway? Why?

I love Williams' work, and The Glass Menagerie is among my favorites of his plays, but surely there is another one of his plays due for a revival. I'd love to see Audra in Sweet Bird of Youth. The Cherry Jones Menagerie was wonderful, but that last revival with Sally Field was abysmal, and I need a long time to recover from that one! Surely, there are a number of wonderful Williams heroines that Audra can play.

Yes he would be! Less famous, but a gay Tom would be infinitely better than a Tom who could bench press his other castmembers combined."
Now picture this. Jeremy Pope bench pressing his costars 😂 (But yes, having an actually gay Tom - a la Zach Quinto - helps a lot and Pope can do brooding quite well)

Can we meld the Paul Mescal version of Streetcar with the Audra version that's been kicked around for years.

I've got kind of a left-field idea for George in a hypothetical VIRGINIA WOOLF revival, though he needs a few years to age into it:
I think Lin-Manuel Miranda could do something interesting with the part.

LMM can do a LOT of things -- but acting ain't one of them.

Paul Mescal is another actor I'd prefer to see as Tom over Jonathan Majors.

Such a tragedy- too many people have never seen a Gypsy revival, just terrible.

Did I word that as saying that show itself needs to be seen or was it more of a “where is the specific Audra-led revival people have been wanting for years”? Because I’m pretty sure it’s the latter but if you feel good about your post and high-fived yourself over your “own”, then I’m happy for you.

It was just a generally directed joke, lol.

Miscast? Jonathan Majors is not a type. He's a fierce actor - the kind with range.
