It's Lucie Jones, isn't it?

Do you think they'd use her in the advertisements for the show without at least telling us how she'd be involved in the production? Maybe she's just being used as a model for the show? Although if that's the case, I don't understand why they wouldn't use Stephanie Torns...I'm so confused!

Definitely not. I think someone messed by publishing that banner when they did. I doubt they'd use a young, UK star who has a rising profile as that's going to make people ask if she's in the show. It seems a lot of work to go through when they could have just gotten a model from the US who doesn't have any sort of profile as the model.

So do you think she’s a red herring?

I just read back what I wrote and I can't even make head nor tails of it. Sorry about that; I'm at work so my attention is on about 100 different things.
I hope she's not a red herring. She's an incredible talent and would make a fantastic Jenna. I can't imagine she's only being used for promotional considering how perfect she'd be for the role.
Time will tell.

I have to admit: the threads for Waitress' casting rumors are almost.. thrilling? Stephanie Torns' stint is over in 6 days and no announcement has been made about who will take over. It's bizarre. If the other Waitress replacement thread is any indication of what could be going on behind the scenes, is it possible that they just haven't secured anyone yet?
Is it safe to assume Stephanie will go back to her ensemble track?

Interested. Makes me wonder if whoever they had lined up fell through. But kudos to Torns for getting three more weeks.

London and New York are hardly worlds away. It’s very possible she came back for a day or two
Stephanie has extended anyway so we’ll never know.

She was in Miami before London, so she hasn't been in NY for a while. She is also still promoting her tour, which begins the day before Stephanie's final performance, so if it was indeed Lucie, wouldn't they have just extended Stephanie until April 4th, when her tour is over?

Perhaps a bit of a reach, but one of the white Lulus is leaving after only two months. Maybe they're bringing in girls of color to play Lulu because the new Jenna is a WOC?

My mind immediately went to Cynthia Erivo but I kinda doubt that

I doubt being the fourth/fifth replacement in anything is really a huge draw for her.

That’s just where my mind went-I agree with you. Do you think this has any significance or it’s just being read into too much?

Any dreamcasting thread on here is being read into too much. As for the girl being recast, that doesn't really indicate much of anything, since she was white when Nicolette was in the show, no? Unless Jenna and Earl are both going to be black... I love Waitress, but I don't really get into the inner workings, just saw this thread bumping a lot, so wondered if there was actual news... nope. ![]()

Or perhaps she’s leaving because she and her family live in South Carolina and three almost four months (not two) was a nice adventure and it’s time to go home.
