I tried looking around the board but couldn't find any information on the subject but does anyone know when the next leads of WICKED will be in? I say the trifecta of Caroline/Kara/Matt and thought it was the worst I've seen.
I'm looking to take some newbies to the show and while I don't think they would necessarily recognize the lack of talent, I wouldn't want that cast to be their first exposure.
Any idea of timing or talent would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any leads, but I too am waiting for this cast to leave before I head back to the show to check out Fred Applegate as the Wizard. I haven't seen them but I'm not at all interested in the current cast. The last cast I saw was Mendez/Mauzey/Klena.
On the contrary, I thought Matt and Kara were the best Glinda and Fiyero that I've seen. I can't speak for Caroline since I saw her understudy.

Matt, Kara and Caroline were amazing please take a seat
I, personally, enjoyed Kara Lindsay's take on Glinda when I saw the tour back in the fall.

I think the standard contract for the leads is around 9 months, which means that they might be leaving around mid september. But of course they can also extend or have a different contract..
I also enjoy Kara's and Caroline's performance though (especially since Caroline has returned after her injury. I think she improved a lot.)
Jackie Burns=best elphaba ever
I would like to see Lena Hall, Betsy Wolfe, and Barrett Wilbert Weed take a crack at the role
^ Jackie truly is the best Elphaba I've seen out of my 5. Lindsay Mendez was phenomenal too!
I hope Alison luff replaces Caroline. If not I would be happy to see Emily Koch step up to lead.
I rather liked Kara Lindsay's Glinda butI haven't seen Caroline Bowman. I saw Lindsay opposite Christine Dwyer when she returned (having just finished her contract) for a couple of weeks to fill in for the injured Bowman. I've seen her a couple of times and Dwyer is a fantastic Elphaba. She's got a great voice and stage presence. I hope to see her in a show soon.
Jackie Burns is 100% the most perfect Elphaba ever.

You'd be surprised at who can recognize talent ClydeBarrow I took an elderly newbie to see this cast and she did not like Kara at all and neither did I.
I too hope the next Elphaba is Alison Luff. If Mauzey returned with Luff it would be one of the most well sung casts to do the show.

I saw Jackie and Alli Mauzey and they were the BEST elphaba and glinda ever! I also think Annaleigh Ashford was ****ing hilarious. I didn't see her live though lol

Maybe the cast people who have never been in the production before?
I don't think they're terrible by any stretch but the current broadway cast underwhelms me. I've just been spoiled by the wonderful tours.
Holy lawd. Alison Luff as Elphaba with Ally Mauzey as Glinda would slay every inch of my insides. It needs to happen
Wicked on Broadway has a well-known track record for casting Elphaba, Glinda, and Fiyero from their current tour and standby pool (and, in some cases, international productions).
IIRC, Lindsay Mendez and Derek Klena are the only "new" people that have played their respective roles over the past couple of years or so.
Not sure how far back you're going, but Mandy Gonzalez was another recent example.

I knew about Mandy, but it's been a while since she was in the cast. (I was thinking late 2012 onward.)
I forgot about Jenni Barber! I keep thinking she was part of the national tour cast before coming to Broadway. I don't know why/how that happened. Thanks for the reminder!
I'm hoping either Alison Luff or Emma Hunton replace Caroline. I'm guessing Emma is done with Wicked though...

OMG i hope the next Elphie is Caissie Levy!! She has said that she wants to do it again!

I'm hoping that if they do pull from within the company, Jenny DiNoia will finally get to be the full-time Elphie on Broadway. She's been the Elphaba in about 5 countries, but has only been the standby on Broadway (if you exclude the few weeks she has stepped in during a medical leave).
