Hopefully, Sweet Charity... but with a better wig... and some brass.

They said Ride the Cyclone had commercial producers attached. Any idea if it would come to Bway?

Does anyone think maybe The Wolves could possibly transfer here? I haven't heard any rumors about a Broadway transfer at all, but I just think the venue could work and the play seems to be getting lots of praise.

SWEAT should move here instead of Studio 54

Sweet Charity will probably move in during the fall which leaves an opening for a run of a play. It could be Camp David.

Hm. Def think Studio 54 is all wrong for Sweat, but I'd imagine that is a done deal. It's a big cast, so maybe the larger venue makes sense.
The Wolves, I've heard amazing things. But don't see It making the leap.

Ride the Cyclone is an interesting idea. It does have commercial producers enhancing the current production, and it's selling pretty well despite the fact that the reviews, aside from Isherwood, were pretty mixed. Yet I wonder if it would find an audience on Broadway, even in a small house.

Ride the Cyclone belongs Off Broadway. I think it would REALLY struggle to find an audience on Broadway.

People said the same thing about Spring Awakening, Fun Home, Next to Normal, Dear Evan Hansen, etc...I feel like now more than ever, people are willing to give something that might have previously seemed too quirky and offbeat a shot.

About a month ago, there was serious talk of Cyclone transferring quickly after it's Off-Broadway run, if the right space were available.

Hoping for SWEET CHARITY. But if it's being delayed until the Fall, then RIDE THE CYCLONE.

After the collective reviews of Sweet Charity, I don't think that will be transferring without some major retooling. At any rate, the director and star are busy with other projects so it wouldn't be for a while if it did.

Ride the Cyclone also has a potential break out star in Tiffany Tatreau.

What about the Whorehouse revival coming up on the horizon? Also, are there any plays still looking for a tenant? Isn't M. Butterfly coming in this season? To Kill a Mockingbird?
To be sure, I think Charity and Cyclone are the likeliest options; just trying to think of anything and everything that could be possible.

Forgot about M Butterfly. But I'd think they wanted a more traditional house. Cyclone seems like a bigger show than the Circle could handle. A typical proscenium show wouldn't work in that space. It would need a thrust, which it doesn't have currently.

Didn't spelling bee play circle in the square with a proscenium set up?

And the ride the cyclone set can easily be adapted for a thrust set up.

If Cyclone can fit (and fit well) at the Lortel, it can fit at the Circle.

Circle in the Square is not a house for a large musical like Whorehouse. What about the production of NIGHT OF THE IGUANA slated for ART. That seems like it might come in if it gets great reviews.
